I’m level 34 now just from pvp, and my purchase of this game will rely on how good matchmaking is. Obviously it’s only beta so have the devs mentioned they are looking to improve on this? At my level getting put with low level team mates who have no idea what’s going on isn’t fun. Also i think ranked mode should be level 20+, possibly 15+. Also i think non ranked mode should tier with levels like 1-10 11-20 and so on but then would only work if the population levels are good i guess.
I have the same issues. I wait until it finds me a team with at least 2 other people my level. If it sticks me with a team of lvl 5s I roll out and redo matchmaking
The reason this always happens is because you are a solo player. This is the same problem in all online multiplayer games and it occurs because the matchmaking allows parties to be grouped together. Those people are usually high level and know the game well, so they all end up on one team, while all the low ranked casuals end up on the other team with maybe 1-2 good solo players. The end result is that if you are a solo player, the majority of games will be team stacked against you. The solution to this is a solo players only option in matchmaking to prevent the team stacking.
Now your going to hear some arguments against this because the people who routinely que up for games as a group love their easy wins and worry that a solo que will make it take longer for them to find a match.
Yeah solo queues are a great idea, and i realize for the premade queues it will take a while longer to find a game. So to incentivize more people to go in the premade queue they should maybe add a reward system such as a ranking number which is seen to all with a relevant icon (like bronze tier silver tier etc - and you can also drop tiers) . Solo queue will always be well populated obviously.
Also with a premade queue i’m sure some groups would like an easy win against solo players but i reckon most would prefer fair fierce competition against other premades.
Your running into premade groups that’s why. I had the same issue which is why I went looking for friends on the PSN that play this game so this won’t happens to me anymore. It does seem like we que against a lot of other premade though which is fine because we are also premade. the system you want is possible but I bet it would make que times a lot longer. Well, actually I bet ti would be quick for low levels and long for higher levels.
