Why doesn’t the black market weapons machine scale to the players level???
I’m so frustrated with this is there anything I can do to make it scale to my level am i doing something wrong, or did the developers go to sleep at the wheel???

Different topic slightly, is anyone else having trouble reading stats it’s to darn small. I have done everything I know of in game to make the text bigger. Is there any fixes for this, or is this a case of a non player developer falling down on the Job.

The Black Market machine basically scales to the level of the zone. This only effects play during the first playthrough (before you kill Tyreen). After that, the zones scale to your level (including the Mayhem level you choose), so the Black Market machine gives you level-appropriate gear.

Really, it doesn’t matter a lot because the first playthrough doesn’t require much in the way of good gear to run through - and if you want to get something OP to do it with, there are multiple options of getting gear that makes the entire thing a cakewalk, even if you are not very good at the game. Like, running the Cartel event to get an OPQ, Needle Gun, or NoPewPew to mention a few.

thanks so much salvadorable. Im just level 23 and thought the machine would be a big help.
I will keep my eyes open for the cartel event to get a weapon that will be helpful.
i loved bl1 and bl2 the acid infinity handgun was one of my faves in the game.

There are some specific enemies on the maps that should drop gear scaled to your level in the first play-through.
Enemies from Legendary Hunt locations for instance.
Like “The Skrakk”

To be clear, the Cartel event, and the other 2 events, can now be toggled on at will (or you can have no event active). Check your menu before you enter the game to find out how to toggle the event you want on. This doesn’t require any DLC purchases, if you own the base game, you have access to these events. (Each event has some good gear, but I think most would agree the Cartel event has the best guns.)
