Melee/gun/explosive krieg build

May I suggest, instead of the Evolution to grab a Neogenator?
It has lower capacity, which makes it easier to break, making it easier to gett his shield empty skills going.

Plus elemental resistance.

Elemental resists only works while the shield has any charge.

You should keep your first post updated with the gear and strategies (assuming this last post of yours was an update to the thread). by the way, instead of listing all skill bonuses why not write the reasoning as to why pick those choices or at least keep skills descriptions to one-liners, I disagree with giuvito in that this format is better than just linking the skillpoints distribution through some gui like bl2skills.com

The list of gear wasn’t an update he asked what I was using and I didn’t have time to update the op. I will add gear tommrow and I might shorten the skill effects and just add why I picked them

One last thing I wouldn’t think shield capacity would matter with this build simply because RtB isn’t your only damage dealer so being in it all the time isn’t necessary

Question, this build is centered in explosive weapons?

With that much recharge delay increase I don’t see much options for shields outside of the RR/Evolution/Neogenator or FotF and for this reason I would vouch for the Rough Rider since for the most part you’ll have your shields down, why not pick the one with the highest survivability. I calculated the hitpoints for comparisons between RR/Neo/Evo a while ago and tl;dr: while shields are up both Evo/Neo have more hitpoints before you go down (with the Evolution being the beefier between the two) while with shields down it’s the RR that has the highest hitpoints due to the 0.2 damage resistance (even though it has a lower +health increase).

I just got the hammerlock dlc yesterday so I should have a RR by tommrow

A bit of advice on back up gear. There are RARE situations where you’ll see a dependency on a certain kind of ammunition.

I remember doing runs in Washburn with Harold and Hornet and having to eat handgun ammo like Joel scarfing down Candy Bars in the Last of Us.

Even if it isn’t the best weapon in your arsenal, keep a spare with ammo you may not necessarily use often. I found this to be an AR in my load out.

I run a Melee Krieg, and I sure do.

(I do play on 2p-4p though so there is more ammo consumption.)

Especially in areas thick with flying enemies or bots, and particularly in DP.

Very true. I’ve definitely done that in the past. I just found with Krieg on OP8 I liked whittling opponents down before getting in to the mix, so as to really use Bloodsplosion.

Some opponents (like Saturn) may test your ammo patience, so still to better have and not need than need and not have.

It’ll just make slagging a bit more difficult. Unless you’ve got a mate doing it for you.

I nearly soloed hyperius yesterday but I missed a RtB when he was at nearly 10% health so ammo is a very good thing but melee can go without it.

Finest way in BL to chip your tooth while grinding it, or pull a few hairs out.

Especially when he goes all jumpy-jumpy.
