On the PS4 and PC side, maybe. I run into lots of fellas on Xbox both old and new.

And I’m not even one of them anymore, seeing as I’ve quit until the patch, whenever that is. :disappointed:

Aww… Stop with the feels, Eden, or i’ll be forced to sing ā€œCheer up, Charlieā€ from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in its entirety, with ā€œCharlieā€ being replaced by ā€œEdenā€.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks the new rules suck. They’re more complicated than a 2010 era TNA gimmick match (wrestling fans will know that that is a HUGE BURN)! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing on the stream. There are going to be SO MANY cheap victories coming, I can just see it now.

And Meltdown was my favourite mode too.

Amazing. Of course, Mellka wouldn’t want to fuse with a freaking Jennerit, while Rath would be appalled at having to fuse with a dirty mercenary who isn’t even Sustained. In other words, it’s perfect.

This is not a ship though. I WANT TO MAKE THAT VERY CLEAR.

I think I read somewhere that you will start at level 3 or was that only for Capture? Accepting new changes to something we are already used to is always hard to some of us.

I felt infuriated when Incursion was turned into this meltdown variation but I kinda enjoy it now. I still don’t like not seeing command rank to avoid being part of certain team but I can make intelligent guesses based on title recognition now.

The point is that Gearbox likes to try new content for their Battleborn game.During that process they tend to take some aspect of the game away to add the new update. We may and may not like it before /during its deployment but at least try it with an open mind before deciding.

Still got at least a week or two before the changes. Let’s make the most of this.

Mine too; IT WAS SO PERFECT!! NOW WHERE WILL I PENGUIN?!

(Sadly singing): "It’s the end of Meltdown as we know it… It’s the end of Meltdown as we know it… It’s the end of Meltdown as we know it; i don’t feel fine…

Sure, I’ll try it with an open mind, but it’s an open mind festering with bile and resentment. It’s such a bait-and-switch to drive home that the game was pretty much Early Access, and then, when the glorious new UI and 60 FPS is rolled out, simultaneously completely rework a popular game mode.

Yeah but with Incursion they weren’t changing the rules as you know it. To me this is like if they took Incursion, but after one team destroyed both Sentries they restarted with no minions and both teams with one Sentry in an anything goes free-for-all. But hey, let’s say the ā€œWinnersā€ of Round One have a slightly stronger sentry!

So you’ve left our ranks for Borderlands eh? Considering what the new patch will bring, might I suggest that you make a humble return to remember the good times in case the patch is as bad as we fear? That may deter you from ever returning, a ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  patch had that effect on me a few months back as you may recall.

It’s not so much that I’ve left for Borderlands, so much as I’m playing Borderlands because I can’t bring myself to play Battleborn. You’re right though - I should probably enjoy a few Meltdown matches and jakoos before everything changes…

And Capture matches on Temples before it becomes a hard rush, shenanigans!

Same here. I stopped playing Battleborn for 2 months after a patch was deployed.

I kept receiving messages from in-game friends and people I didn’t know, suggesting for me to come back. I decided to play one match and somehow it felt how it did when I first started playing BB on its released date.

I came back very rusty though. I was pressing all the wrong buttons subconsciously thinking I was playing Gears of war 4 lol

Sometimes you just need a break, too. There’s nothing wrong with that. My plan was to leave Battleborn for a bit until I played through Mafia III, but some new friends gave me an itch and I got dragged back in.

Guess I’m the only one happy about the change. Others won’t agree with me, obviously, but I like the addition of a finale that gives the enemy team a chance at least. Not forgetting that the winning teams bot will still be stronger, meaning victory is still most likely theirs. Once the team is 400 bots ahead and the other has 25, a comeback is…very unlikely. Unless I’m proven otherwise. I’ve been on several matches of meltdown recently where we went something like 400 - 25, several times. A few games are balanced, but when the enemy team stomps, there’s no way to make a comeback. This new addition makes that comeback possible at least. Albeit it be a small chance, it’s still a chance. The only thing i don’t understand is the time reduction, but they’ve tested this mode out themselves and clearly they know what they’re doing. Minions give more XP to compensate for the shorter duration also. I can imagine it being a more chaotic mode due to the shorter time and faster levelling, which sounds good to me. But hey, it’s not even out yet. We’ll see.
