Yeah, show us the animation! Looks great!

OK I set up a render of three video sequences and went to work, I’ll send it in the evening. When you’ll see it, keep in mind that the animation has linear interpolation, as I believe anything else is unsuported and just in case I don’t want to overspam it with animation keyframes with a baked animation.

(PS: a contest, whoever makes the 2000th comment wins access to the Alpha build. Unless he’s affiliated with the Complex mod. :smiley: )

Upwards, it’s really nothing but the model reskin, the weapons are the same as in Classic.

Yeah… There’s been more recent activity on it than that!

There’s been more progress made since this video was made (which was recorded 6 months ago).

Also, a fun thing about NIS: If you don’t plan things out correctly, your in-game ships can “collide” with your NIS ships. A.k.a., you can contaminate your scenes.

Of particular note, Chimera Station is not a part of the NIS at all (it’s not contained within the NIS files); it’s part of the level.

Hey I much prefer making ships from scratch! :slight_smile: To me it’s easier. You don’t have to cut polygons and repair UVs and match exact pixels with your new texture. But what can you do when the Vaygr Frigate aft sections and bridges are so standardized.
