Seriously… Like there are tons of videos of players using companion builds and all they do (I do it too, sometimes) is stand in one spot on a map, shoot one round out of a pixie pistol, reload, and repeat. The enemies disappear and the round is over. Where’s the fun in that? It’s like the game devs just threw in modded gear without having to get modded gear. No skill involved and it looses it’s luster rather quickly.

My counter to that is to use the Carouser only and still eliminate most enemies with one or two shots.

there is no pistol that does more damage than rocket launchers per bullet there mate

if you consider bee amped shots for lady fist harold or fibber split yeah but otherwise no.

that is not to say bl2 balance is not horrid but not to learn and improve up on it is a crime of it’s own.

I know someone who just adores Justin Beiber and can find no fault with him at any level. I’m not going to tell you that you’re wrong, I’m just going to say that the overwhelming majority of people do not feel as blindly enamored by Gearbox games as you.

Personally I don’t understand how anyone can feel happy by this clearly halfhearted attempt at making a game and then obvious overcharging by a factor of 10 for the DLC content that they’ve released and announced. But that’s just me.

Eh, I’d like that as a gimmick. But yeah, I meant the more absurd pistols like the Harold, combo’d with skills and other gear. Because that’s what’s happening here, right?

Could be wrong, don’t have the game haha.

On a similar note, I’m not sure calling people with a different opinion of a video game to you “blindly enamoured” is worth much of anything.

In fact, I’ve got a specific feeling you wouldn’t like being called similar names. So why bother?

Nobody gave your opinion the popular mandate. It’s just an opinion and worth literally just that. The names you call others is just the icing on the cake.

i think you have no idea how i generally feel about gbx games but ty for the attempt
i am just having way more fun in here than ever before probably since playing bl2 and i know that a lot of people outside of your little bubble feel the same
usually i was playing borderlands games through with 1 character
now i have already finished the story with 5?
it might have to do with the fact that i came to the franchise through fantasy games like diablo etc. and not ego shooters

I had not thought about it that way, but yeah, it does have potential. I just saw it as a grind to get back to where I was. Good point. :+1:

Edit: Oh wait, I forgot, I’ve heard that everytime you save it starts you back at the beginning. Soooo, this won’t work unless you play all the way through the game in one session.

This is accurate. The base game is fun, but short. And a little more repetitive (and this is coming from a guy who has replayed several VHs multiple times and between BL2, TPS and BL3, the game with the LEAST amount of hours is TPS at 1,100 hours) than we are used to. Thus, having good DLC to keep us intrigued is desperately needed and is also lacking. The game can be worth $60. The season pass is probably a good deal at $5, $10 if you’re feeling generous.

This is correct. Found it out the hard way.

They fixed the mission progression glitch recently.

And here’s 3 golden keys for your patience! If I didn’t think I would get flagged, I’d post a middle finger. Because that’s what this game feels like, more than a little bit. Y’all know I try to be very reasonable (or at least I hope you’ve seen that), but damn. Even a reasonable person should be losing patience with Wonderlands by now.

Nope. At the low end, weaker launchers get outdamaged per shot by COV (Scalawag whatever) pistols while a blueJakobs Masher Pushpin would outdamage all but the highest damage unique launchers. The strongest use for launchers is to apply big dots, which is pretty damn sad.

nerfs where expected (leaving some weapons broken OP would actualy hurt the longevity of the game)

on the DLC, i wasn’t expecting jackpot level content but at least something more like the side mision maps in this game (crackmast cove and sunfang oasis) with a boss and an obolisk.
a glorified chaos chamber is a bit thin

many people already said this, we got more from free content in BL3 then we got from payed DLC in TTWL

Please Sir, may I have more?

I miss how launchers were balanced to be super limited use, but did tons of damage to compensate. They really felt like true heavy hitters you’d pull out to get out of FFYL, or go on a massive damage spree for a moment. BL3/Wonderlands give us more launcher ammo so we can use them more at the expense of less damage. Which sadly just made them used less… Speed debuffs rub more salt in the wound too.

i was actually referring to bl3’s trends like by the end they were putting in ■■■■ like free radical which has high fire rate high dot extra projectiles and both main and extra projectiles are splash ffs
radical and plasma coil simply have no right to exist if there is at least a single person working on what is called balance and gameplay development.

same for snipers

at least have some launchers/pure snipers that do tons of damage but are just awfully slow (or consume a lot of ammo)

It is about selling DLC. The new op melee weapon has arrived. Salt and battery :joy:

yeah i have seen it though i had long quit vanilla by then. i have my strong opinion on melee and i feel like it does not belong in a gun loot game at all. you either make melee weapons (which are usually op because you need guaranteed life leech to sustain it at high diffuculty and gun heavy dense mobbing) or you do not make the halfass melee attachments “melee” nade and raw “melee” delivery guns it is just meh and it also takes up a lot of space in skill trees for no particular reason. there are far far far (shadow warrior ) far far far better games with functional melee combat systems bl ain’t it. but people seem to love it.

Not sure if this has been posted here but there’s a theory going round that the dlc is Tangledrift, crackmast cove… and these ‘dlc’ are the free events we should have got. The game was too short so they added them to the base game and released the events as dlc instead.

Someone said they’re already in the files as plc, post launch content not dlc.

Just a theory I’ve read online, nothing to do with anything I’ve found myself or have anything to back it up but it wouldn’t shock me if it was true.

This wouldn’t shock me. There also appear to be other areas on the Overworld map that look transitional, and if you look at the top-down Overworld map, there are definitely areas that look like they could have housed additional game locations.
