Because Borderlands isn’t supposed to be funny? I’ve seen this argument and I do not understand it.

Also silly me. Here I’ve been talking about this movie with the rabble in the BL3 forums all this time while all the cool guys all hang out in the Off Topic threads! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The big issue is the character, but I think there’s a chance to make him cocky and then into the leader that Roland is because of the way the series works. I’m kind of excited to see what kind of a garbagefire this is even if it isn’t great, because I can mentally work out the other stuff.

I mentioned homelander above in the hopes of a sequel, but I’m really really really hoping that the rest of the budget goes to getting Pedro Pascal as Mord, and Batista as brick.

@Kitty_Jo , could you inner fangirl handle one man being Mord, The Red Viper, and Mando all at once?

First of the meme I could find.

But he could clearly be mordy, right?

I mentioned Anthony Starr just the other day in the series thread Ars. I really like the guy and yeah he could defo play Jack.

You should check out a show called Banshee Ars. It does have some parallels that reminded me of Justified throughout. A criminal pretending to be a small town sheriff has to take on a not so average criminal empire run by a psycho Amish guy. It has some awesome close combat fight scenes in that show. Ran for 3 or 4 series worth checking out the first few episodes mate.

This sounds way too up my ally.

Also, tagging @Piemanlee for our shared Letterkenny lust and another wanted casting-

Jared Keeso is wolverine.

Also, @Kitty_Jo , please alert the fangirls so more people can get on that shirt-tucker wayne.

Our champion for Mordy boy had been chosen. Where’s my fan-girl signaling horn…

Behold - him trying to talk about “sperm cylinders” and failing for 5 solid minutes.

The man is indeed a treasure.

I…Have not laughed like that in a while. And strangely love him even more after that. A ■■■■■■■ treasure is right

I think that it’s increased by the fact that he’s reading my man crush’s words - Walt Goggins.

Man it’s been so long since we compared man crushes.

I’ve missed you kitty lol

Yeah to be honest I’m less salty about any casting than I am about the plot summary.

What’s the plot summary thusfar?

Oh hey look. An absence of plot, just like BL1.

I assume at this point : no Jack, no Tina, no BL2 et al. Maybe we can get Knoxx? That’d be pimp.

I mean yeah, that’s BL1.

Honestly my biggest worry is if they try to do jack in a BL1 movie.

You can abridge a lot of BL1.

BL2 is better suited for a movie, but if you’re bringing in the primetime four… no

You just get to deal with Steele and Disappointement so… eh?

A good punch up guy will be helpful.

…is they will try to expand on BL1 with actual plot (and fail to do it justice) rather than just keep it to psychos, skags and loot. And elemental guns. I mean if one of them has a Defiler I will ■■■■ my pants.

You know…I was just imagining CG animation of a psycho melting from corrosive DoTs and thought (and I’m grateful Hattie isn’t around for this) : maybe, just maybe, Eli Roth isn’t such a bad choice after all - so long as he’s on a tight leash.

@Arsonist

The rumoured plot I’ve heard of is that Lilith is a “legendary thief” (and that’s how the Hollywood Reporter story refers to her) who has to rescue Tina from the Atlas Corporation.

I think your screenshot is referring to the plot of the game, not describing the plot of the movie.
