Moze's Tier 5 skills need help

I think the Bloodletter is still a solid mod at any level. My Moze survives in TVHM Mayhem 4 while using a Transformer shield, a Deathless artifact and a Bloodletter mod, with zero points in Vampyr. With my skills that build shields on kills, Moze is often rocking a shield strength at 60K, plus now that I have Kyb’s Worth, which does electric splash damage, I can shoot at my feet and the splash recharges the Transformer. Shield regen at will.

It doesn’t matter what shield or artifact combo you use, there will always be some attacks that will one shot you in this game. So I just go with the combo that gives me the least amount of fight for your life moments. For me, using the Blast Master was just a way to die quickly. Obviously there is a way to make it work, but for my play style it wasn’t the best fit.

But all of this shows why it’s great the game has a wide variety of weapons, mods, and artifacts. We can find our own magic combo that works best with our play style.

I usually don’t include transformer shock healing when I consider things, but that doesn’t even really require blood letter. Thing is, nothing will ever one shot you in the game if you’re above 50% health. Technically, you die easier with 60k shield than you will with 9k health and 2k shields on M4.

I believe barrels and maybe self damage ignores health gate though.

Click, Click is actually quite useful even with bottomless magas, as you noted. I have a couple of Shredifiers which can easily outpace the ammo regen speed, and what I do is once I run the mag down to about half, I just pulse fire the gun, burst that run the ammo down to near empty, then letting up a bit to let the ammo regen take the mag up again.

It takes a bit of practice, but just skimming along with my mag on the lower end of full gives me bonuses with Click, Click. My Moze hits so hard even in Mayhem 4 that I had to check to make sure I was actually in it because the enemies were dying so quickly.

And then of course there are weapons like the Cutsman which will always empty out no matter if you have infinite ammo regen or not. The final few shots of a Cutsman with Click, Click kicking in do crazy damage.

This is what I love about this game. It’s a puzzle box that you have to play with to see what pieces actually fit together.

Agreed. I discounted click click for the longest time, but with certain guns it almost gives the same bonus as Short Fuse. It works a lot better with forge, but it is doable to use Short Fuse and 2 points in click click, but kind of annoying at that point haha. I’ve been finding click click more useful in M4 than Armored Infantry as well.

The trouble I found is that enemies like the badass variants who carry rapid fire rocket launchers will destroy you quickly no matter what build you have. The first shot may not exceed the healthgate, but the next 5, 10, 20 that will immediately follow will, especially in Mayhew 4 when the enemies can have up to 2 additional projectiles per shot… And bosses like Wotan with his barrage of rockets will wreck anything.

This is why I appreciate people sharing their insights into the strengths and weaknesses of different builds and gear. We can then try these out on our own without going through endless futile play to discover what someone else already has. Thanks for your posts, they have been thought provoking.

Actually I think I have a regular purple relic with +health, +shield, and +40% mag size. I think it’s an ammo Regen relic.

I know a lot of people start to ignore any purple items once they start to get a lot of legendaries, but some of them are still very useful.

That’s where Stop Gap shields, and possibly the last Stand Artifact… Though I don’t love the long cool down for that it might work well. 5 seconds is plenty of time to heal yourself above 50% so the next hit won’t kill you. Problem I find here though is you have to run and hide, or face tank with grenade spam which can be inconsistent sometimes.

That’ll do until you find a useful legendary one with the same stats. Purple ones are only missing the one bonus stat from a Suffix. There’s a TON of useless Suffixes on them too. You really only want Otto Idol, or Victory Rush otherwise Purple is totally fine.

Moze probably wants the snowdrift prefix on her artifact because she has 0 speed boosts. It has saved my ass many many times in the Wotan fight

Last stand is pretty decent.

Yeah that’s my favourite too. Currently have a Snow Drift Otto Idol with +40% mag size, +max health, and +30% grenade damage.

Nice… I’m looking for a snowdrift Victory Rush w/ mag and AOE. I have one that has mag and another one that has the AOE. So frustrating X_x

I want to find a decent one to try a Tenacious Defense build, but I haven’t gotten one with the stats I want yet.

I also was thinking about doing a TD build but there’s no passive gun damage boosts with such a build. You probably need to use minesweeper… but meh. It doesn’t work that great on flying enemies and kills you alot

Haha, I’m looking for similar to that as well. I want to try out a good Victory rush but any that I’ve found have things like weapon accuracy on them. I don’t even bother with Artifacts without +40% mag size though.

Blast Master man. 100% damage increase with 0 skill points used.

But if you’re running tenacious defense with blast master, then you’re giving up the splash tree which means you lose Vampyr or you give up the ammo regen tree which means you’re not keeping the 100% damage boost

I’ve been having a decent amount of success by skipping DW entirely. I haven’t been throwing grenades for damage in MH4 so I don’t mind the lack of PTHP. The points from Blast Master in Vampyr are enough. The mix of SOR and BM actually complement the Blast Master really well.

hmm, is it possible to get a blast master with +4 in vampyr? I could see that working with a TD build now that we’re talking through it
