My badass rank and gold keys reset

hi everyone i am posting here in a last effort to get my stuff fixed. I put in a ticket 11 days ago and they havn’t been able do anything to help. I log into bl2 and everything is good. I go into shift menu where you type in codes, still everything looks good. you go into game then you see my badd ass rank reset and one gold key. like i just started playing game. Now, what is causing this issue is sometimes when i log into bl2 and go to shift menu to type in gold key codes it wont let me and says cant authenticate. every time it has done that (2 times so far) it resets my gold keys and badass rank. i am posting cause i don’t know what to do. The ppl dealing with my ticket want a video. everytime i send a video in the format i have it doesnt work. Just not sure why they cant fix. they took my support id and put my stuff back that did not work. they told me there is system in game that will give stuff back auto by reloading all characters and give bad ass rank compared to acheves you have, that didnt work. plz help!!!

This happens when the file containing your rank, keys, heads, skins, and stash contents gets corrupted or over-written.

If this keeps happening - and sometimes shift connection works and sometimes it doesn’t - it may be that weird things are happening with your connection to both SHIFT and the XBox Live servers. If you are not connected in-game, any progress or changes risk being over-written the next time you launch and are connected.

Have you noticed any problems when you attempt to sign in to your account, or error messages popping up during a session? (There was a major outage of XBL a few days ago.)

For the video: You should be able to capture and upload it, where it will appear under your gamer tag on the site https://gamerdvr.com/ You could search under your tag, then send support a link to the video hosted there.

If you notice any odd game save or connection issues in any other games, I would suggest considering a factory reset of your XBox. You’ll need to re-add your profile (although there’s a reset mode that leaves all your games and apps in place, which makes the process faster).

Not sure what else to suggest, but if files are being flaky, a reset might be the best solution.

OK. I see that you’re on OP levels but for some reason very few BAR points and only 1 key. However, I obviously don’t know exactly what the support staff were asking for. (Just for background, I’m a volunteer forum moderator, not a GBX employee, and I have no access to anything beyond the forums.)

I’ve not had much luck with the “restore BAR” on Handsome Collection personally - the one time my BAR got reset (and I lost some heads and skins in the process) I got most of it back by re-importing my old 360 saves.

Sounds like your profile data file got either erased or corrupted. First thing I’d do would be to a full power reset (turn off then pull the plug from the wall to drain the PSU, wait 15 secs, then restart) to clear any corrupted cache data.

If that doesn’t work, you could try doing the XBox factory reset option that leaves your games and apps on the drive - you’d still need to add your profile back to the console after it was done, and let the system re-sync your data. This assumes that all your files were in sync with the XB1 cloud storage - if you’d been playing any games in off-line mode, you’d lose whatever progress you’d made since the last cloud sync.

Alternatively, you can file a support ticket with gearbox. They won’t be able to restore your profile data, but they may be able to get you some keys at least.

Yeah. Same thing happen to me. I sent them a support ticket since April 19. I am still waiting for them to do something about my badass ranks, golden keys, etc.

Thats what happened to me. Apr 15th since my progress wipe, and still no action from support. They only care b4 they get your money. Bethesda, EA, R*, and now 2k, they have fallen into the pit. Legendarys in BL3 is probably microtransactions only.

I got some SHiFt codes back and the ticket got closed.I started the game all over again.

Wow!I am so frustrated.New update lost all staff all over again,after downloading new DLC.

That really shouldn’t happen. Have you ever done a factory reset on your console? It is possible the issue may be more between your hard drive and cloud saves.

I have a level 60 assassin on BL2 and my badass rank was somewhere around 65k, I had roughly +8% in all possible bonus stats, and yesterday when I logged on to play again, it was completely reset, I’m missing my special edition heads, I’m missing skins, but by far the biggest bother is the loss of all my BAR. Can someone help? I have no idea why this happened. My special edition head is still equipped but if I take it off I can’t put it back on.

Sounds like your game profile got corrupted. Unfortunately, unless you have a backup of that file, your options for recovery are limited. If you let me know what platform you play on, I can move you to the right section for assistance.
