My BB disappointment

So true good team work can feed a player the kills. for the streaks.

I don’t know why everyone compares BB to OW. I found a video that explains the differences that should be watched:

I agree fully with what is said in the video here. OW is a twitch shooter that is fast paced and simple. It is a Run and Gun-down the bad guys like CoD. There will be good players that get a KD of 20-1 and there could be games where everyone sucks. Still just a good fast pace shooter that is simple to pickup.

BB is more of a strategy game with heroes. A good team can make or break a match. There are some good players out there, as I have experienced on the PS4. Also, with a good team, you can handle these players. The idea is to balance the team out, not just pick who you like and go. There is strategy in the team you choose, the set up of the field, and even the actions that you take near the end of the game. This one requires more thought than just “Go kill the other team for points.”

I am sorry that you feel that there are not enough players on PC, but as it has been said before in this tread; “GBX does not have the marketing capability that Blizzard does.” So all of their games start out slow.

Alright, I am done ranting for now. I am sure I will come back to someone bashing me for this, but oh well, I will just play BB and ignore it.

Actually, it’s 2k’s and Take Two’s responsibility as the publisher and distributor to market the game, not GBX’s. Though I do agree the marketing campaign could have been done better.

This thread is getting far too many negative personal comments. If you don’t like a thread, don’t post in it. Avoid personal comments. And now, I release forum kitten.

Op said he didn’t know this was a moba? Or did I misread that?

I learned it wad a moba in 2014 when the first teaser trailer came out. So I mean… It wasn’t hidden.
And I see literally no issue that is the fault of gear box. It’s a complicated game, it’s gonna be a bit less popular at first. Pc community is small? It’ll take time to build. It boils down to the name of the brand. They’re not blizzard. Blizzard could’ve made Two Worlds (worst game I’ve ever played, ever), and they would still sell five million copies.
And you say they’re not the same kinda game, then hop on to compare them? That’s silly. Pick one. I’d advise the first, as the latter is like comparing pointless l pineapples and condoms.

I have Overwatch and I feel this way. I cannot say much about BB being that good or not. But I get bored fairly quickly of OW. It is just a little samey to quick. It is also very casual for sure. I do find I can play exceptionally well on that game and have had some fun with is. Just get burned out so quickly.

BB I am not sure on. I have tried to find matches only to have people get in and then leave. Can take a while to get a match. And I have had some where people leave after not getting the map they voted. The game just says it cannot start match.

Overall, BB and OW have been a disappointment to me. I would probably get more from either, especially OW, but on OW my family and friends will only play a little and then want to move on to something else. Which then gets played for a longer period of time.

You see BB has stuffs like gears and mutations which would only work if at all on very popular games like league of legends(Runes and masteries ) where you can match people according to their skill or lv.Gears are really really badly designed while runes and masteries only give players advantages in early game.Gear power ramps up as the game go on.While bb will never accomplish that.MM is always going to be bad if the player base is low.Now people who barely know anything about the game have to play against better players at disadvantage even before the game start. Now you understand his point?.There are other ways to add depth to gameplay. The good old items system in moba makes way more sense to me than BB’s gear.Anyone can pick up cs go or ow without having to grind for hours just to be on the same playground.

Honestly add people in PVP you feel are playing to your level, talk to them, ask them if they’d like to PvE and that’s always been my way of getting it done. Plenty of people will play with you so far many of the people playing this game seem like they want to work together to get legendary gear. I’ve had a lot of luck farming gear on Normal Hardcore, but even normal loot tables are fine with inexperienced members. I’ve feel like the game has been worth the money but I try not to be a defeatist.

General discussion forum right? Can Gearbox give a General discussion about what it is doing to address the multiplayer wait times? It should be a specific forum that Gearbox starts to address and respond to the people who dropped 50$/70$ on the game and find it essentially unplayable.

I suggest you hit the ‘dev tracker’ button up there on the menu. It links to all Gearbox staff posts.

Magic quote,

“unique global player count, which includes anyone who’s played the digital or retail version of the game, as well as those who have played the game in Internet game rooms.”

Players that tried the game at one point =/= players that regularly play the game. So no, the player count isn’t 7 million, and probably not even near it.
I’m one of those 7 million, pre-ordered the game and i’m still level 15 because i play at best a couple hours/week.

Why do people give out so misinformation …?

There are some things I’m disappointed about BB, but even with its faults I still like BB over Overwatch. #1 reason is that Overwatch is not so different from most other FPS games, except Overwatch is the new, improved and most importantly a well marketed game. For example I have PvZ 2 and Overwatch feels very redundant to me. Right now the game is still has that shiny gloss, but it’s not going to last very long.

BB in comparison is lacking in general combat, graphics and sound, but not by much. What it lacks, is overcompensated by PvE content, couch co-op, and most importantly strategic elements incorporated into the game. For that reason BB provides many more layers of depth than Overwatch can hope to offer, and replayability that will last far longer than Overwatch.

Personally though, I don’t think Overwatch players will necessarily “switch” to BB once they are tired of the game because BB isn’t marketed very well right now.

It’s the first time i heard anyone compare OW to PvZ 2 ,but now that i think about it the 2 are really similar.I don’t think BB’s campaign compansate for anything tho I hate BB’s campaign just for the fact that the missions are instant dungeons which is the worst format possible imo.It makes me feel like i’m playing a f2p like warframe or vindictus.GBX are pretty good at world building they could have made a bigger sandbox for this game and tied missions together.

I think you’re perhaps thinking something in between BB and Destiny here right? It would be nice if BB campaign was more interesting to do yes, but that’s clearly not their focus here. They are very much modeled like MOBA and campaigns are built around that it seems. Still, they could’ve done more yes.
