My character is now Corrupt, 39 hours of game play down the drain

I updated to the newest version of the game to be greeted with a message stating that my character is now named “!Corrupt!” level 36 Flak gone… Just before I finished the game… I have no words for this… I want my 39 hours of my life back Gearbox. Why is my character corrupted?
