Need some clarification on a few things

There are some Jakobs that actually do splash, no idea how well they can perform with Moze though

I’ve been thinking about the Duc since I read this thread earlier. Small mag size, but the green monster com could help with that. Do the ricochets proc stickies as well? If so there could be a build there.

If you have the moxxi dlc there also the lucky seven (Jakobs revolver), this one works guaranteed I’ve seen video of people wrecking Wotan with Moze using it. Lucky seven is a bit special to use as you need to reload it several times until you get enough bonus (it’s a revolver giving different bonus according to the result of a mini slot machine that displays each time you reload)

Some things I wanna add that might not had been discussed here:

  • Be wary of what you watch in YouTube. Take it with a grain of salt. Some of those builds work because they have glitched or modded items. The ones with legit items require the same exact set you see in their loadout. You can vary but expect your results to differ

  • If you need an item, it might be faster to trade than farming. Or do both but big chance trading with someone is more efficient specially if you need something specific.

  • Max out your storage. You can ignore non-annointed weapons in most cases. Don’t ignore some of the purple or blue rocket launchers like Quickie and Hedgehog, shotguns like Protuberance.

  • That free Double Downer shield from the DLC is a big help with most Moze builds specially if you have the tendency to splash and blow stuff.

  • A Transformer shield is always handy for Moze

  • I would advise focusing on the Blue tree and Green tree skills first. I feel the Red tree should be touched once you’ve become more experienced with Moze.

I tried but I can never find that one godly build that works both on Iron Bear and Moze for the majority of content in the game at Mayhem 4 difficulty.

One interesting tactic you can do is spec the Green tree until you’re able to use Some for The Road. Get a rocket launcher. Quickly enter and exit Iron Bear. Spam rocket launcher. Repeat the process until you end up with 0 ammos. Don’t pick up rocket launcher ammos. You’d be surprise you can keep doing this. If you add the Blue tree, you’d see more damage output with this tactic.

Good points Guys thanks  so much to learn! Lol tried Maliwan takedown today…Jesus

Since you like Jakobs and Vladof, maybe you would like the King’s Call, Queen’s Call, Rowan’s Call, or Lucian’s Call guns. They all cause bullets to ricochet on crit, and those bullets count as splash damage. Plus they add ammo back to your magazine on crit too. Then you could not only benefit from a 1hp bloodletter build that gets a lot of gun damage, but splash and area of effect bonuses on your gear will help as well.

It’s not always about doing the max damage, while clearing the hardest content, in the fastest time. Enjoying a build, that comes natural to your play style, is important as well.

I am not a big fan of the splash damage builds either, but I swap back and forth from time to time. The build @Prismatic linked up above that would cater to vladof and jakobs is close to what I run when I’m not doing splash, except I only use bear on CD and am therefore not worried about sticking in it for very long (so I drop the blue tree entirely and max Phalanx Doctrine out, or if I’m playing with people I cap the top left in red tree because it doesn’t take any health and gives everyone a damage boost).

A few tips I’d make since I was originally a Moze main (until I fell in love with an AR Red Fang Fl4k build that basically meant I could sit back and watch my pet tank everything);

Bloodletter with +2 or +3 in Thin Red Line with a Deathless Artifact is nice for boosting your shield up crazy high. But in order to survive without Vampyr, one of two things are required; a Transformer + Shock splash weapon (trevanator is awesome for this) and be prepared to shoot at the ground regularly to regain your shields or Big Boom Blaster. With BBB you’ll have 5kish less shields, but if you move around a lot, you’ll find you can get your shields back pretty consistently without having to worry all that much, which means you won’t have to stop and heal your shields like when using a Transformer.

1hp Moze is rough to work with, but incredibly satisfying once you figure out the flow. I’m a fan of Jakobs with her, too, so that’s why I like the SoR route even if it isn’t the top dps.

Also, if you are using a build that revolves around low mag size weapons (like the maggie that is my bread and butter for my 1hp build), redistribution isn’t going to give you much return and I usually avoid it.

So guys what weapons should I be on the look out for? The cuts man and westerman? @Prismatic any suggestions

Mayhem 4 eats me alive lol

Try [Guide] Top Gear for Moze the Gunner

I believe it’s pretty up to date on all the current best weapons for Moze.
