Did it? IDK I wasn’t around then and I didn’t see anything when I skimmed the wiki.

My Ahab has ~19 million and my Duuurp has ~11.9 million I think. So about 60% more damage. I didn’t do any math this time, I just went in game to the testing range.

The projectiles get the damage transfer from the launcher, but the the projectiles do 100+ million damage and the splash of those projectiles only do like 2 million. So something is off here since I thought Maliwan snipers got 50% gun splash, and MS boost gun splash right?

I made that statement to show that if the missed projectiles landing next to the target, so that it would still get hit by the splash, was your reasoning for preferring the reduced arc, then just know the splash does insignificant damage.

You know me, Mr.min/max. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s on the lowest health raid in the game, and with NKLO. I mostly only kill Terra with this set up for fun, so killing him before he goes underground for the first time is why I like the extra damage.

Then yes it would do more damage than the Duuurp, like you said.
Pre-loot hunt is was about 10% higher, not 60% or so.

Oh ok!
No, it wasn’t about the splash landing nearby, it’s about the angle AND HEIGHT at which they fly off after the initial shot…
It’s much easier to keep them on target (and even on crit in some cases)

My experience using the Norfleet with that setup was not great honestly.
Can it do more damage than the Ahab to justify having to carry more than one to account for all raid weaknesses (outside of a time trial scenario) ?

From what I can see, you can get the Norfleet to deal slightly more damage than the Duuurp for sure, but the Ahab looks about on par with it (accounting for matching elements). (no maths have been done here, i’m just ballparking… is that a word ?)

Edit: scratch that, it can.

In any case, I routinely killed Pete for crystals with my Duuurp in under 10 seconds
The Duuurp makes it easy and versatile, with the tradeoff that it could take maybe 7 seconds instead with a better RL… if you are lucky and apply yourself to the task… 10 seconds is good enough :stuck_out_tongue:

(Of course, you could then argue that my point makes the Creamer a great choice, since 13 seconds is also good enough… oh well :stuck_out_tongue: )

With the exception of Pete and any shielded things you want to kill, probably not. But i’d recommend carrying around a shock one, as shield resist explosive and shock on shield has the highest multiplier.

Here’s the numbers on flesh.

  • Norfleet - 436438k
  • Ahab - 388635k
  • Druuup - 330969k

So compared to a Druuup the Norfleet does…

  • 31.9% more flesh damage
  • 135.5% more on shield

Compared to an Ahab the Norfleet does…

  • 12.3% more flesh damage
  • 100.5% more on shield

What shield were you running?

Evo
I started with OP2 gear, then hit a roadblock at OP7, so I decided to farm a new shield and a new gun.

Made a mistake with the gun and decided to keep the OP2 one I had but got an OP7 Evo. Ended up clearing the peak on my 2nd attempt after that.

Rest of gear was OP2 Stormfront, OP0 slag pimpernel, level 48 Deputy’s badge, level 67-68 (can’t remember) Neutral evil monk COM, OP2 Duuurp and OP2 Rustler’s Orphan Maker.

Thanks a lot!
