They can’t really just explain why rath is depressed and they are rebuilding the empire without her, it would be rushed and horribly done, and take away the depth of the story, how is the ISIC thing a seperate point

You cant just say something will be bad just because it doesn’t fit your personal opinion of how the events should transpire.
the story being good or bad is entirely on the strength of the writers.

the ISIC thing was to point out that a character being playable in the story missions isnt based on any sort of canon

Well the characters themselves are based on Canon and honestly it would not be good for the story if the reason is a rushed job and lore like rath is not adjusted

but then all these characters were decided upon over a year ago
and Im sure @Jythri has had most if not all of these events mapped out for a long time

I know what dialogue already, for all we know he is in denial since he believes what he is doing is ok, he could mean a fate worse than death, the only way lenore comes back is as a shell of her former self, so we can say she is truly gone

I could write a thesis on Rendain and how complex his character is
but on the subject of denial specifically
his entire character is based on denial or to be more precise his inability to stay in denial over the fate of the universe
HE IS RIGHT
everything in the universe including Solus, will eventually die and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.
Thats a hard and fast approaching reality for an immortal being.
His character is very based in reality
The Battleborn are the ones who deny this fate
but they cant stop the end of the universe they just stopped it from ending prematuerly

Hes been to the Void and actually so have all the player characters for that matter in Void’s Edge
If Lenore (being the Sustained) was thrown or sucked into the void
again I dont think there is any reason to believe that she would be dead
If anyone could survive the Void it would be the Sustained and the most powerful one at that

At most lenore is EXTREMELY intelligent (well she is) there is NOTHING that says she is a warrior, she has a bodyguard unit specifically for her, it is very UNLIKELY that she is alive and the lore only reinforces that, it seems more like you just want lenore ingame

I and no one else here has even seen the character. I would like to have here character explored further but that applies to everyone.
I personally just want more Magnus characters :slight_smile:

I think shes alive and I think that Rendain is alive as well

The only way I see lenore as alive is in the most depressing way possible, like the varelsi broke her, Egypt she is gone to the jennerit in a way she is no longer “there”, so everything could make since

It could also be that Lenore figured out a way to come back ages ago but is staying in the void to work on a more permanent solution to the Varelsi (or even a way to restore the stars). Let’s not forget there was a mission (The Experiment) backed by various lore where the Eldrid Observers were experimenting with Varelsi Portalling technology. Lenore could have been doing the same since she had already forseen the events that took place after she got sent to the void.

There’s also a random line ISIC says during The Algorithm mission where he indicates the Varelsi might actually be trying to escape the dimension they came from too.

Given there’s a big patch coming this week, I might hold off on it though since I am going to be busy running website updates. But I definitely want to work more on it as the Lore is by far the most fun thing to work on as I too want to learn more about said characters. :heart:
