I might have to double check on this but it never dropped more than one grenade for me, no matter how many Rakks summoned.
Have gear that increases Melee damage. 125 Guardian Rank points in Enforcer for Groundbreaker skill. Enjoy the slaughter.
So I put in that COM and a Fish Slap grenade, throw Rakk, and they poop out copies of these grenades.
How many melee skills does FL4K have (or is this all driven by Groundbreaker)?
Fl4k has skills that increase Damage, like it just says Damage. So I take it to mean all source of damage. But for the most part, Groundbreaker does most if not all the work.
The first Rakk to hit spawns 4 grenades on the target. You dont see multiple because they all occupy the same space.
Lightspeed has random pathing, so when the Rakk drops it you can clearly see 4 Lightspeeds worth of ricochets.
I find this hard to believe. I should also be seeing 4 damage numbers then. If they added all 4 damages together to just show one number damage, then it should be doing more damage than Fl4k throwing the grenade.
Doesn’t the Lightspeed split into 4 homing grenades on hit? That would be why you are seeing 4. So 1 grenade, 4 homing projectiles. But it has been a while since I used the Lightspeed - maybe I am remembering incorrectly.
It does do more damage than Fl4k throwing the grenade because there are 4 of them at once. When damage of the same element happens at the same time the game displays them added together.
The Lightspeed splits into 4 fast moving ricochet projectiles and 5 slower homing projectiles. The Rakks will drop that x4. The ricochets also deal gun damage so they can crit.
That’s what I said. It would have shown a bigger number if that was the case. I believe you might have skills or equipment that would boost the numbers. I respec and went no skills and with no gear except for what is needed to test the numbers out. My result is that it does the exact same damage as when Fl4k throws it. I doubt it drops multiple because the number is the same. Skills like TPI would boost the damage, I believe.
Put on a Lightspeed and try it.
I have, looks the same. Same as other grenades. Does exact damage. No extra grenade drop. I’ve tested with no skill invested, no guardian ranks and no extra gear except what is needed. Fl4k has many skills that will increase all source of damages and even in certain situations, like say after using Action Skills. I believe that is why you are seeing it do more damage. When I tested it with these conditions, I see no extra grenade, no extra damage.
Im not the only seeing extra grenades. Quite a few people have uploaded videos to reddit of the Lightspeed doing this. I don’t know what to tell you.
I’m saying that it’s doing extra damage because of the skills and passives. Not because Rakks drop multiple grenades. It drops an exact copy of your grenade. Damage of grenade gets boosted because of skills, etc. At base with no skills and what not. It will do the exact damage as Fl4k throwing the grenade.
If it is the lightspeed dropping extra grenades with the class mod compared to Fl4k throwing it. Then it is a weird interaction between the class mod and the Lightspeed or it is as intended and other grenades that isn’t the Lightspeeed is not working with the Class Mod.
Really hoping it’s the latter, then they might fix it to make each Rakk drop a grenade which would be miles better.
While I main moze, I am going to play around with the Class Mod and a Whispering Ice.
Whispering Ice is like a Cryo Mirv and Singularity. With it being Vladof it should detonate upon hitting something.

Seriously though, I bet there are some synergies there. I haven’t gotten the class mod yet but I bet the results are interesting for CC.
Are you using a Fish Slap with a Cutpurse to simply have unlimited ammo? If so, maybe use of a Monarch x8 or a Sandhawk would pair well with that combo. What about a Its piss with 25% grenade throw for an essentially permanent damage increase?
