Discourse seems to be smart enough to āunloadā the top from DOM, so I wouldnāt worry much about monster threads.
You mean the Random Talk thread which is approaching 2000?
I find it hard to keep up sometimes though. I like pages

I seem to have a minor problem. When I enter a new topic I donāt seem to automatically track it anymore. I need to manually track it. Under preferences my āAutomatically track topics you enterā option is āalwaysā. So far I tried to change it to something else and save and then put it back to āalwaysā and save again but that hasnāt worked.
I wonder if thatās a browser issue? Did you try forcing a reload/refresh? (Yeah, I know thatās pretty much tier 1 support voodoo, but I donāt know any better!)
Yeah tried that too. But I can try a different browser with the next new topic.
Okay, first post here on the new forums. What I donāt like is the Display Name options on my account. Itās far too limited. I understand itās tied into my SHIFT account, but it doesnāt allow options like having a space or special characters in your name. The Display Name you guys & gals see here also isnāt matching up to what I actually set it as in my SHIFT account.
I just changed the display name to āJackTChanceā and itās displaying here as āJackTChance1ā. Donāt know why itās throwing that extra 1 on the end. On the old forums, Iām āJack T. Chanceā and thatās the way I like it. This new forumās messing with my style, man! 
Iāll also chime in as being against the āscroll foreverā thing. If at all possible, revert back to topics having pages, and let us choose how many posts there are per page. It makes navigating through a lengthy topic much easier.
Lastly, bring back in our custom Gearbox Smilies! I need my Borderlands and ALIENS Smilies! That is all.

This is really good feedback. I actually had the name problem myself and itās something weāre looking into. Iāll ping the devs again and see where weāre at on that.
In regards to the GBX themed smilies, thatās also something Iām exploring along with a couple other small customization options. Good things happening these days!

Who do I have to pay to get this done, I strongly dislike the scroll and lack of pagesā¦ strongly

What I do like about it is that it automatically takes me to the newest post after the last one that I read. On the old forums if there were multiple pages of posts written since I last read them I would have to find where I left off. That can be equally frustrating as scrolling through a topic.

Why do you need pages? You know you can jump to any post in the thread?
how would I know where to jump to unless I book marked everthing

Because associating numbers with peopleās posts isnāt hard? Because the forum links replies to your comments? Because you can quick jump to your own posts with a user lookup?

Is there a way to change your username? It letās me change my name but not my username and that is what shows up on the posts I make. I wanna change mine to K0rN b4LL like I had on the old forums.
