Oh snap, if you were on pc I’d trade that for sure haha
With Gearbox, bad wording is a guess with lots of precedent.
They have a long history of errors like that - throughout the BL franchise, there are myriad examples of skills, guns, tool tips, quest hints/goals, etc. with odd, unclear, or outright misleading descriptions.
I’ve said it before: never attribute to malevolence what is easily explained by incompetence.
i am… Lol. Got any of them… Asa2hunnits cryo? It has a weakness. Theres only burst and semi auto. Which isnt bad if u like mashing the fire button. I believe thats why its this damage tbh
Haha I want semi auto actually. And Yea, I’ve got a couple weapons with 100% cryo. I have an electric sand hawk with it I think. I won’t be on til this evening though so I’ll have to double check
As long as its well over 8k im good. Looking for cryo or kinetic if thats possible with asa 200. I dont even think those 6 and 7 k variants are m10 tbh. Seeing as im near 10k on a corrosive?
I mean m4. M1.0 weapons took me to m6 and m10 and m6 took me to m10 takedown. So i dont care about the upcoming lvl cap.
Alright, sounds good. I’ll check out my bank later today to see if I’ve got what you’re looking for. I had a wild run on katagawa the other night and he dropped like 20+ and I just threw em in there lol. Although I remember alot of them were crap annoints so we’ll have to see
If so I’ll just pm you
You and ur special they them group of players…
I usually read ya mention the “them” and ull be there long after “they” are gone.
Hope ur not making out the ppl in this post to be ur “problem ppl them”
Huh?
This is Gold!!!

That is mostly nit-picking on your behalf, I think. To me it seems pretty obvious that they just worded it somewhat poorly but actually meant the Damage level it has.
If you are playing at M10 and you have only seen M6 versions drop it gives you the impression that you are looking at a range of values at M10 which would be completely wrong. So if your goal was just to get a reasonably good version you may stop farming because you were under the wrong impression that the best version of what you got was a reasonably good M10 version.
Without at least knowing it’s the correct level you have no idea what range you are even looking at. So even if you don’t care to get the best version you have to have an idea of what you are looking at to know when it’s safe to stop looking.
I’m actually with you on the best version thing. I don’t care if it’s the absolute best but I would like to know if it’s in the ballpark and right now we have no way to know other than creating stupid threads like this.
I think what he’s getting at is that we’re still getting under-leveled gear dropping. If GBX doesn’t fix that, even though it dropped while you were on M10, that doesn’t mean that it’s an actual M10 weapon.

I agree. I think their statement needs more clarity. Maybe they intend for the mark to indicate the actual mayhem level even if it’s lower than what you are playing at but worded it poorly? It’s really hard to know with everything being such a mess.
I have about 350 items in my bank. Around 200 of them are pre-mayhem 2.0 garbage. Without a mayhem level on the card trying to sort through it and figure out what’s good and what’s isn’t to get rid of all the garbage is such chore that I can’t be bothered.
This, this needs to be addressed. Adding more items and more storage, without any way to search or easily compare items is a crime.
I want to be able to sort by keyword. I want to be able to compare all items of a base type, so I can see which version is better. I want to be able to compare the list of features for items, so I can view multiple items at once, and sort/compare by different stats. And I want it to be fast. Heck, give me a simple table without the images if that speeds it up.
Let me mark items to
- Keep (star),
- Trash (trash can),
- Lock (so I can’t sell/trade/drop/swap with item on the ground/store it without removing the lock), and
- Trade (basically like Keep, but can select all for trading via UI or mail).
Let me sell directly from the LLM and Bank. Give me the tools to better manage my inventory. Otherwise, I’m spending as much time sorting gear as I am playing. And it gets worse as I play more alts.
Yea, I mean, the best test for if something is m10, equip it and see if it does work on regular dudes. At least that’s my method
OK but with all the garbage weapons and poor item scaling…how do you know the difference between an M10 weapon that is scaled poorly (or just sucks) and a good weapon that is M6 when you are playing on M10? The effect could be the same and without a label of what the weapon is…no way to know if the weapon just sucks (or is scaled poorly) or is just a lower level version so isn’t performing well at M10.
You’re right, there isn’t really a way, but I’ve found that it doesn’t really matter. Like someone said earlier, the right combo of weapon parts and annoints really makes or breaks a gun.
That 150 rad sandhawk I have dropped on m9, I was assuming it was a m9 drop. However, you may be right, maybe it’s really a mayhem 7 or whatever. That being said, it is by far the best version for a deathless build that I’ve found so far and far outperforms the supposed m10 versions I’ve gotten to date. Even though those versions on m10 have over 2-3k extra base damage.
Also, I got a kaoson in m7 which was 4.5k x 2 with 100% cryo for zane and about 60 kaosons later (all on m10), I haven’t found one that equals it. Ymmv of course

Right but you are using an example of one of the absolute best weapons with one of the absolute best anointments. For a weapon like that it’s much easier to say…just see if it kills stuff and be content with it working regardless. It gets much more murky with pre 2.0 weapons when you are trying to determine if the gun is just bad and not worth wasting your time on or it’s just a low level variant not performing well.
Do I want to waste 10 hours of my life farming for a gun that won’t be any better regardless of the version or level? It would be good to have an idea about that before wasting all that time.
Haha yep, you’re not wrong there. That gun and annoint combo far outperforms most others. I’ve been searching for a sandhawk with over 8k and that same annoint but I’ve come up dry so far. But I know it exists!
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how GB implements this whole labeling thing. Could be good, or it could make it more confusing haha.
Time will tell I suppose.
I’ve got a 7488x9 Radiation Sand Hawk with the 50/150 anoint and it shreds. If I could keep up with the ammo consumption, I wouldn’t use anything else.
