Im saying about we manually doing it. But that’s not possible, for normies at least like me, since the files are encrypted. I’ve sent them a ticket about they manually reducing my Guardian Rank and the reply was:

Thank you for clarifying your issue. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done from our end because we do not have such privileges. Good Luck :slight_smile:

You can all wait for a patch…that may never come, ever…bc it seems to have effected only a small percentage of ppl. Or, you can fix your game, power level via co-op and get back to close to where you were after 15-20 hrs…of fun btw. It sucks and we shouldn’t have to but thems the breaks.

This should not be a thought for a fix. Killing progress in a game just because a micropatch on the devs end. They need to find some way to get this again patched. I was talking to a Volunteer Mod for this tech site last night and I hope that pushed this in the direction of recalling the micropatch he stated might have been the cause.

The guy from 2K I dealt with was good, went through the standard scripted emails which you are obliged to reply to; and after uploading a vid of the issue it’s been escalated to EPIC. I’ll report back as soon as I hear anything but I’m hoping this is sorted soon as I’ve lost one day of the weekend already.

I wouldn’t mind starting again but after over 100 hours of play time I have got all the weapons I want etc… don’t fancy doing that again. Will just quit and ask for a refund.

That would be disappointing for me, the game is awesome.

If you feel the need to restart a new character but you can’t because of all the effort & time you dedicated into it. Well I’d suggest using WeMod’s trainer and setting the game to one shot everything and set the game speed to x5. I know cheating shouldn’t be an option but it can be, and as consumers we shouldn’t be dealing with crap like this in the first place.

I myself am going to do that. I strongly believe that this so called micropatch wont be coming anytime soon & if it does, great. My character progression is beyond screwd with these glitches that boost your guardian rank by hundreds for no reason.

Edit: Sorry, post hasn’t been approved on the Borderlands subreddit, I assume because I posted it from a throwaway account. Messaged the mods, hopefully it’ll be up in a little while.

Gist of the fix is using CE to edit your Guardian Rank back down to an acceptable level. Posted the links to the CE Github and the respective post where you can grab the .CT file that lets you edit Guardian Rank. I edited mine down to 100 from 997 (no idea how it got so high when it was only 300 before) and I’ve been playing the last few hours without any freezes.

They told me the same thing when i told them about the reverifying bug i have to go thru everytime i play.
2K support is laughable alright. Makes me think they don’t know what the heck there talking about or no clue how to do Pc support. Whichever comes first.
