Nimbus Class Mod

When you switch COMs but don’t go into the skill trees you can sometimes get skills from both COMs. Menu lag is very real.

He was demonstrating the power of the Nimbus mod. There’s nothing stopping you from continuing to use the kill o wisp or similar gun with heavy bonuses. He wasn’t shooting but obviously we would normally be shooting.

It was nice to know that class mod wasn’t as crappy as I thought it was.

Use a different weapon and the DOT drops significantly. Only a few guns have a high DOT, and most are crappy. You can still do it. Go ahead, but know you are limiting your options.

I melted the Slaughter Shaft on Mayhem 3 pretty quickly with the Cloud. If you use a corrosive Recursion as well, everything starts to disappear quickly on each Phasegrasp. It is working well and may be quite broken in it’s current form, but I agree that it limits your options and it is far from my favourite setup on Amara. I still like the Kill o’ the Wisp quite a bit tho, just reminds me of Scorn so much!

KOTW does a lot more DOT damage than recursion though, doesn’t it? In my testing the KOTW was much better, do you prefer the recursion just for the gunplay while you’re not phasegrasping?

The KOTW will be stronger.

In my opinion they need to lower the damage from the weapon and buff the dot that comes only from the cloud. That way Nimbus doesn’t solely rely on the weapon in your hands and the DoT proc chance.

Since the dot depends on the weapon that you hold in your hand, you can switch off to the Recursion for a couple seconds after shooting KOTW once if you want to burn through armor quickly. I just popped off one or two shots in between and then switched back. That way you spread three elemental dots across a whole group of mobs. For close range threats I used my Linoge. That’s about it, just stay max range and melt people with the cloud.

I think it would be cool if the cloud damage would be calculated, the moment you Phasegrasp an enemy and then save that value as the set damage for the cloud dot. That way you can trigger the cloud with the KOTW and then swap to a different weapon after sending off your orb and spawning the cloud. That would make the whole setup way more enjoyable.

When you switch weapons the DoT has a chance to change to the weaker DoT based on the new weapons proc chance.

They need to nerf the damage based on the gun and buff the always present weak DoT gets to around 100 with max buffs.

Currently using Nimbus with Anointed Kill-o-Wisp +50% extra Radiation and Hex with +50% Cryo on M4 and they melt most things. Pre-Grasp the ground or wall, Grasp mob in center of a group and shoot both bonus Wisp mags. King’s/Queen’s Call the survivors. It’s been pretty disgusting really. :laughing:
