No, just that, as you said, the perspectives of both groups of people should be weighed equally.
Why are the soloers given more weight than the groupers?

grouped up friends - have a laugh, work together more closely, create lasting friendships, mostly only see the positivity in the game unless a stomp is occurring.
Solo player - higher risk of being involved in a stomp due to lack of communication. Canât really chat with the rest of the team regardless so no meaningful bonds, just bots that they expect to go out and fulfil their role.
And to be honest, not once did I hold the value of a solo queuers complaint higher than that of a group queuers. Itâs just that solo queuers donât have as much fun, itâs as simple as that really.
Not you specifically. You know I have nothing but respect for you and your opinions.
However, you did say that the voices of the soloers tend to be heard / valued more.
Why is that?
How could I take a questionnaire about spending the rest of my life someone seriously if they donât understand what love is. I mean not one question was about swordsmanship, sword crafting, sword maintenance, or sword appreciation.
TEACH me about love, Blaine!
Wait, no⌠Nevermind⌠I forgot that iâm making things worse by trying to have fun. Sorry, guys!

Because most of the time when they express their opinions on the game in its current state, they are negative. Why? Lack of fun. As I said they are less likely to have as much fun as someone who groups up with friends. Why arenât they having fun? Well, the much needed fixes are one of the more popular reasons but we already know that. Negativity outshines positivity, especially here. We have always had complaints about fixes and changes being needed, but at a time like this and with everything thatâs been happening, more people are starting to agree that this isnât right. The negativity spreads. Once that happens, the positivity gets drowned out untill something good actually comes around the corner. All we can do now is be patient but a lot of people here are tired of being patient. Thatâs why tensions are high and negativity outshines positivity. Thatâs just the way it is. I could go on.
One can argue that since solo que is how most people start out the game that to worry about the solo players is to by extension worry about new players.
And honestly,
This is a rather close minded perspective. How much EXTRA time do you have to put in to get your teams(Iâve played enough with you Iâve a fairly good idea) @FlamesForAll? when this game requires logistical effort on that scale just to get into the game casually thereâs something wrong.
No it isnât delusional to enjoy the game, the delusion is to make sweeping generalizations about people being critical of a title you personally enjoy on a knee jerk reaction.(you do have a history of that as weâve discussed in the past)
Also, why should a game or its developers be penalized for having a steep learning curve / not necessarily being âcasual friendlyâ?
Why should things be dumbed down?
Chess is HARD.
If you dont constantly play and practice chess for a LONG TIME, most people you get matched up against online will SLAUGHTER you.
Is chess a bad game?
EDIT: Battleborn is the title, I misread.
Also, what if teaming up for a TEAM based game WAS mandatory? At least to maximize enjoyment / efficiency? Why would that be a bad thing?
Thatâs a funny-looking flipper.
No, chess isnât a bad game, and neither is Battleborn. What makes Battleborn a bad game in the eyes of the general gaming community is that it 1. Tried to compete with Overwatch 2. Itâs just a clone of said game and 3. Itâs unique, something that a lot of games try to do nowadays (but unfortunelty donât always succeed). Some people in the community may go as for as to call it a bad game. My main issue is the way the game has been handled overall, and how it echoes Evolve so much that itâs scary. The matchmaking has always been a problem, and while they have tried to improve it, itâs ultimately one of the big reasons it hasnât done as well as it should have. Character balancing is something that most, if not all games like this go through (OW is constantly being tweaked). The way they have handled balancing however, and recently neglected it, has really not sat well with many people here.
And yes, it would be. It would then not appeal to the solo player. Youâd lose a massive amount of players if teaming up and speaking was mandatory. There are many reasons as to why people donât want to group up, Iâve reapeated myself too many times.
Alright, thank you.
Basically talking in circles at this point.
Which, sadly, basically sums up this whole thread since, oh, three hundred posts or so ago.
Tldr - updates lose consistency. People mad. Blame thrown here. Assumptions there. This good that bad. Explains why people donât like working together. Flippers and alcohol = this whole thread.
The basics of chess are actually quite simple, itâs the interactions and strategies/common habits people tend to follow that you learn from practice/watching others. And these things arenât at all requiring the extra logistical effort to get into as I said was a problem earlier.
But the issue is that chess isnât a game coming out in this day and age, chess has been around for quite a while(I learned chess before being given an N64 for Christmas by my grandparents and this was before I was 5)
Casual does not necessarily mean dumbed down, but to say that people NEED to devote so much extra time to the game is an issue, and is a HUGE issue. take someone in my current situation, I may have an hour here or there. Knowing battleborn like I do would I solo que? I could, but given the small amount of time Iâd have why would I bother? And the time to gather a team makes this issue WORSE not better.
Just lost another game in QM to more premades.
Grouping up IS almost mandatory since Iâve been constantly seeing it over and over.

âI â â â â â â â hate Whiskey-flippers! Itâs hard enough being a celebrity without some random kids running up to you and flipping you on your ass!â

âWhat? I really donât think thatâs what was meant by that remark.â

âOh. It wasnât? Well. Proceed with, uh, whatever.â

âNo, no, hold on. There are actually people that mob you and flip you over? That is a thing that happens to you?â

âThatâs what I said, isnât it? Those â â â â â â â dumbass Whiskey-flippers. Universe is crawling with them.â

âHow peculiar. Do you want me to abolish it? I can abolish it. I can abolish anything.â

âOoh. I like it when you talk all governmental.â
Pretty much yes, but it shouldnât have to be. Thatâs sort of the point. But at this stage, yes, it is.
