No more nerfing!

I’m really frustrated with what is happening and I just needed to sound off on it pretty much.
These nerfs they are doing to weapons and character classes are not only horrible but unneeded.
This is not a competitive online shooter like Call of Duty or Fortnite, it’s essentially a single player game you can choose to play with other people kinda like Halo for instance.
Who cares if something is OP? If it bothers you then don’t use it, and use a different class build.
Buffing is on the other hand a great idea. I’ve thrown away so many legendaries cause the damage on them was so terrible.
So yeah, fix the bugs in the game, fix legendary items that aren’t so legendary, fix something in the class builds that is too weak, but for God sake don’t mess with perfection and ruin awesome weapons and class builds. Oh and artifacts kinda suck, that needs attention.

Literally the most contradictory post on these forums…

Why because I’m for buffing not nerfing?
If something is strong then good, you’re gonna need it playing solo on Mayhem 3. Fl4K for instance has a great Fade Away build, but you know what? You can get your ass handed to you plenty even with “OP weapons and skills”.

A lot of stuff needs nerfing still. I wouldn’t even call it nerfing, they are fixing things that are not performing as intended. Game has to be balanced better before they add new content and difficulty, we don’t even have raid boss yet. Right now game is still easy, so I don’t understand why people are bothered by it so much

Easy? Are you playing on Mayhem 3? When you enter a room full of Badasses and have a bunch of nerfed weapons and whatnot you’ll be singing a different tune.

Yes, I’m playing on TVHM Mayhem 3 as Zane and Flak. If game is too hard, you can always turn difficulty down

Hellwalker and lyuda among others I’m sure are going to get nerfed soon. I don’t think it’s a matter of those guns being too powerful as much as it is the majority of legendaries are underwhelming. Buff the garbage guns and when new content is released have it scale to the new buffs. Lyuda for instance I feel works pretty much as well as it did in borderlands 2, yet they want to nerf it this time around. Just doesn’t make sense and makes me weary of ever buying a gearbox title again if this is how they release and treat their games.

I can handle myself just fine what I was saying is if you are calling it easy you’re lying. Especially if you are playing on TVHM Mayhem 3. You must have the most OP setup ever. So nerfing will hurt you bad.

That’s a sure way to disaster. It’s much better to nerf few guns that are overperforming and buff few that are too weak, balance game around that. There should alway be baseline, and it shouldn’t be broken guns like Lyuda that makes game trivial right now. But I don’t understand why they are nerfing hellwalker.

Edit: also I don’t understand why some people hold BL2 as some gold standard. That game was a mess balance wise with horrible metas and badly implemented OP levels. They are trying to avoid it with BL3

The Lyuda is great but reload time and low mag size can be a killer. It could actually use a buff or two. Oh and you can’t carry that much sniper ammo so it’s not like you can just keep mowing people down with it.

Berserk I think it does depend on the weapons player skill and setup. No disrespect but for me personally mayhem 3 is… I wouldn’t say easy but it’s not challenging. Have put in about 6 days worth of hours into the game though and have farmed a lot. The only area that game me trouble was cistern of slaughter tvhm m3 with the flyers.

With the crazy buffs they give the enemies it’s literally impossible for some to be “easy” even with my awesome setup and guns they’ll give me some trouble. My skills are not in question here. I wreck stuff

I hold it as a standard because that game stayed populated and somewhat relevant for a long time. Not many games you can jump into and make new friends with that’s 7 years old. My friends list of people playing borderlands 3 is pitiful in comparison to how long everyone played 2 for.

Lyuda more or less is a glorified assault rifle and that’s the way I’ve always seen it. An assault rifle with terrible ammo capacity. It’s not like I’m asking to bring the pimpernel back lol.

My main point about not nerfing is that this is not a competitive online multiplayer shooter. It’s a loot and shoot you can choose to play with friends. It’s not like I’m one shotting bosses on TVHM Mayhem 3

There are plenty reasons to play BL2 even now, it’s a great game. Bl3 just came out and on a different launcher. And how your friends list is supposed to support your point anyway? People will be playing BL2 and 3 for a long time. If 2 got as much support and attention as 3 is getting right now, it would have been much better game with more interesting and varied endgame.

Just saying what I see first hand from my own personal experience. So far I’m let down with b3 but it’s still fresh and I don’t want it to burn. I want it to be great, but
side quests are lackluster and unrewarding.
There’s no target farming.
UI is horribly laggy.
So many character skills are poorly designed or not working.
A joke of inventory an space.
It’s concerning that it appears their main focus being on nerfs when the majority of players are upset about it. I’m still having fun screwing around albeit not as much fun as I had in bl2. The friends I invite to play that say the game is boring or unrewarding is my own personal proof I suppose. Everything that keeps them away from playing disappoints me as well but I’m still hoping they bring it around.

Majority of players are not even on forums. People these days like to complain a lot, and they are always the loudest. I really doubt most of them would even notice difference without devs announcing nerfs. BL3 just came out and has a lot more content than BL2 did on launch. Give it time, it’s only going to get better.

Hmm… You don’t find it boring grouping up and just not doing anything except trying to avoid am epileptic fit as everything around you just gets melted?

Yah I agree unsatisfied customers statistically are the only ones to post about it. I do hope this game gets better. I Loved the tiny tina dlc and all the fun side quests from 2. I have the season pass so it will all get played no matter what but, crossing my fingers everything will come together for 3.

Edit: @x440to220x
I have never played with randoms. Generally my girlfriend and I duo on separate consoles in the same room. I have a friends list of people I know in real life I play with but none of them do grenade spam builds or cheese builds. Right now I’m playing as moze main as she is my favorite but avoiding the spam build. I just love her ammo regen and how well she can handle the cuttsman/rowans call without needing to reload often. Lyuda is in the mix sometimes but more often than not it’s not I use

This is quite humurous honestly. Of course a game that is non competative needs balanced still and nerfs to the extreme outliers will happen so you better just get used to it honestly. Lets say they did just buff everything to be god tier though instead of some nerfs and spme buffs. It would lead to even the eventual raid encounters being trivial and the game being boring and the grind pointless because why bother when what you have is OP as hecky already? Any reasonable person would understand how gearbox intends to balance the game…
