there are so many different ways that you can kill raid bosses with no effort at all that make it no worse than running through the rest of a dlc
AR:
- Sawbar
- Hammer Buster (you already have the Bekah so this will be a downgrade, but the HB is still a solid gun)
- Jakobs Spingun
- Veruc is good against loaders I am told, never had any experience with it.
- Hail
- Kitten
Shotguns:
- Twister
- Blockhead
- Striker
- Sledgeâs Shotgun
- Slowhand
- Triquetra
- Pretty Much any Jakobs Shotgun (you have to be real close for some of them)
Pistols:
- Hornet
- Fibber (I still prefer it over the Lady Fist) although I am pretty sure this gun is popular enough to be consider a âstapleâ
- Thunderball Fist
- Gwenâs Head
- Law (forget its melee aspect, actually shoot it, great revolver for non-dedicated melee zero who still has enough points into KB.)
- Greed
Sniper:
- Cobra on Maya (Reaper + Splash) + Bee
- Godfinger is a lot like golfing with a friend, you have your caddy (Maya) who will slag and set up a target for you while you Tiger Woods away with the Godfinger. Hole in one if you can one shot, otherwise just uninstall the game.
- Buffalo - difficult to use but very good
âŚand pretty much any Jakobs Citrine.
Not in my experience. And believe me, Iâve watched the videos and tried all the tricks. It may well have been no effort for you, but that doesnât mean itâs easy for everyone.
Edit: Just got killed by Pyro Pete again. Honestly, I donât know why I even bothered going there - itâs completely futile.
DPUH
Probably the Bane.
I wouldnât call that a non-staple gun. I use it on Krieg because of the explosive bonuses and Bloodsplosion, but itâs still not a non-staple gun.
Is there anybody who got good use out of the grenadier rifles? You know, those ARs with torgue barrels. I never used them because the âslowâ, arcing projectile was kinda icky, but since playing with the hail a lot, Iâm thinking I should try a few, especially with Close Enough. They get a pretty large damage buff iirc.
to kill pete options:
- weapon merge any gun with trespasser/lady fist/grog nozzle
- climb ledge, he jumps up, jump down, he canât hit you
- bloodsplode
to kill hyperius options:
- zombie maya
- behind the fence invincibility place
- suicide fleet gaige
to kill vorac options:
- under the arena, he canât hit you
to kill gee options:
- hide behind rock
- gate crush him
to kill dragons options:
- glitch spot under the spire
- weapon merge with 2x lady fists/grog nozzle on any weapon and destroy their massive critical spots
lol itâs used on literally every character, because itâs the best weapon in the game
You can kill any of the raid bosses without resorting to weapon merging, the discussion of which is frowned upon on here.
There was a "
" next to it meaning it was sarcasm.
I never said you couldnât, I was just pointing out all of the easiest possible ways that anyone can do
Also how is that any different than any other glitch? Thereâs no rule banning the discussion of glitches
Simple: a glitch is something in the programming which doesnât work as intended, but what youâre talking about is not a glitch because you have to use a third party program to achieve it. Flakker swapping is a glitch, weapon merging is not.
Anything Jakobs really. I was always partial to the Unforgiven but the Buffalo and Elephant rifles are quite potent even in UVHM especially when enemies are doused in slag.
Hydra is one of my favorite shotguns on Maya as it does brutal damage at point blank range. Orphan Maker as well especially with the Deputy Sal build.
Umm I donât think you realize what weapon merging is. You most certainly donât need a third party program
Yes! Even in UVHM, my usual generic weapon loadout is a purple Iron in the first slot, a purple Coach Gun or Longrider in the second and either a purple Callipeen or Muckamuck in the third. If Jakobs had a rocket launcher, that would get the fourth spot in a blink, but since it doesnât, itâs usually reserved for a Torgue RL, just to help a little with the second winds. Those are probably my favorite regular guns in the game. Iâm still working on building a legendary version of that trifecta with Maggie/Striker/Skullmasher. That was my dream loadout ever since I first started playing the game, even if those arenât the most popular or even most effective guns in the game. So I guess you could call that ânon-stapleâ.
Tattler. I donât know of many people who use it, but itâs freakinâ powerful. You almost donât even need slag to kill enemies in a reasonable amount of time with it. If youâre an SMG lover who likes to play up-close-and-personal, I would recommend trying to get some Tattlers.
Regardless, itâs something frowned upon here and I hate to see this thread locked because we continued to discuss it.
I will have to try out the Veruc, Twister (never got this before), Slowhand (never picked this up because I was usually too pissed at Badassasarus Rex) and the Greed at some point.
Is there anyone who actually likes fighting BA Rex?
I like that fight
I didnât, until I found the barrier.
