Oh my god that rap in the intro is awful

To be fair pop isn’t “fight music” any more than rap is.

Rock and electronic are for fight scenes. Rap is generally background music for when people are just standing around doing nothing, and pop is just dance music.

I actually liked it very much. Sorry you had to mute it.

Didn’t liked that intro, boring, and you can’t skip it, omfg, well at least you can alt+tab.

Fight music is whatever the listener deems it to be.

I can vibe to a slower beat while fighting, just as well as a faster one.

Sorry you didn’t like it, but I don’t think anyone can dictate what different music is actually for.

You can also deem the chicken dance as music for the landing of Normandy but it doesn’t mean its appropriate lol.

Well thats a matter of opinion i thought it was decent.

Its not bad on its own it just kills the mood for a fight scene like that.

You have no clue. Wu tang clan enough said!!! Afro samurai, kill bill n more!!! Wu tang was created from fight music!!! hahahah Kung Fu!!! is fighting n Wu tang is music. .

I do know. As I said, there is SOME rap that works for fight music.

This isn’t one of those lol

Yeah Tech n9ne or someone would of been better they obviously didnt spend much on the artist. sounds like the rapper off Gorillaz tho which is dope. wouldn’t mind knowing the rappers name. which funny enough lead me to this post hahaha. . i get what you mean but i think it was ok. The dub step in Borderlands was good but become a bit much. .

The problem is people just kinda throw whatever rap over scenes without actually considering if they work or not. Half the time it just kills the mood.

Doesn’t help that I hate most current rap. Monotone whiny tone deaf wannabes.

I thought it was quite good actually. Maybe the song was also made for this game?

Since english is my second language it seemed far less awefull to me. I really enjoyed it because it as very different from what I was expecting.
Expected some hardcore techno dub-step lazer extravaganza - but this Intro is neat as well. hope they make it replayable.

The song has no resemblance to current rap. I think the video really kind of resembles the Gorillaz.

I thought it was okay. Very reminiscent of/clearly influenced by Samurai Champloo, just not made by literal hip-hop gods. Looks like it could have done better with a little bigger budget, but what can you do?
Very cool idea though, made me like some characters I never would have otherwise (like Rath and Dia), the game would do well to produce more along the same line.

I honestly enjoyed how different it was. I thought it went well enough with the scene but I was mostly taken in and surprised by the animation for the intro more than anything else. I loved it personally.

Sure rap or techno could have gone well with with the intro but uh, has anyone ever said been there done that? I think so.

There was RAP music in Samurai Champloo anime and it was pretty awesome… Everything can be done…

But I agree, this one was awful… Also the quality of drawings in animated video are pure cringefest… I hope not every singleplayer mission has them, otherwise I am not touching missions at all…

Please tell me you’re joking. Most videogame combat music is techno or rock.

For good reason

Borderlands intro’s weren’t techno or rock, and they were pretty good, too.
