Ok, Now the problem of number of players get anoying

I really cannot think of a game that had a flawless launch. There are bound to be some problems / issues that arise on launch let alone on the first day. I would give it a few days and see how things go.

Perhaps you guys need to wait until prime gaming time in your respective time zone. After school lets out? After dinner? And a day or two until it’s in more players hands who can spend the time. I am not even going to play it today and I’m a huge fan. I have a weekly board game night tonight so I’ll be busy.

Estimating player base and balancing that with ease of access for different locations can be tricky.

I’m sure Gearbox is examing queue and wait times and is formulating plans for consolidating it in areas that need it.

Remind me what happened on Diablo 3 launch. Blizzard are real amateurs, they had 10+ years to test the servers.

I didn’t, I closed the game, maybe I open it again today and let it roll while I take a dump

I live in the US… just got the game at 11 am and tried several times over 10-20 minutes on every type of matchmaking mode and didn’t get a single connect even once… I have a open nat. had 5 hours before work to play and didn’t get to try multiplayer once. For a game that makes you be online to play it at all it sure sucks at connecting to people.

Diablo 3’s launch day was much, much worse. Nobody could even login for a good 4 hours after it launched.

For Battleborn, I had login problems last night (Pacific time, 9pm launch) for 15 minutes, then was finally able to get into the main menu, play the prologue, then private story mode (with a wait time of about a minute each mission). It WAS a bit worse than the beta. Beta never had login problems at all, and private story mode took about 10 seconds to set up an instance.

It’s strange, I would have expected the servers would be way MORE stressed during beta since it was free admission.

been waiting in matchmaking for 10 mins just got home from work me and a friend played last night for about an hr and he was on for another 3 hrs why is it taking forever now…

Meltdown on xbone was slow earlier but incursion has been hot all day. I’ve played with new people every game. Also, I love the unskippable prologue: It’s the greatest tutorial I’ve ever played; the game is too complex to blindly throw everyone in the fire, considering the expansive online coop (missions and pvp). I too hope the servers are united and wouldn’t give up on the game just yet. I’ve been taking the campaign slowly solo, and I love the structure of the prologue with consideration of hero unlocks later in game. I wonder where the story goes so that mellka is unlocked in the last mission?

I STILL can not get a single player to even show up in any public room… this is getting ridiculous. as much as I don’t want to I’m close to returning the game for not working correctly. This is ■■■■■■■■ as all hell at this point. I don’t understand why it works for some people but not others. various countries and different systems are all having similar issues but apparently it works fine for others…

Have you read at least a little the News/twitter/etc…
If you read, you will know that isn’t a troube of number of player, but a Server connection trouble.

And … Steam Do ■■■■ for the connetion… So gearbox get some trouble but …
A (good) part of the thing come from Steam.

And For your information : as an european (living in a continent with big gamer habit) : I never wait more than 2 or 3 minutes to get a Queue

Be patient, glitches and problems happen and I know it sucks if it happens to be you but it’s not the end of the world. Play something else in the meantime and keep checking back to see if is resolved. Getting games like this to work right is difficult no matter how much testing you do beforehand we have to take the good with the bad and pretty soon you will be playing and will have forgotten all about it.

Moved from the news section.

I’m finally able to play right before bedtime at 4:30am. I apparently suck at playing without any prior experience atleast with Rath my favorite character (and probably 90% of you if you have to choose a coolest) more practice will tell but with all the nerfs and buffs going around he seems like he would be a little stronger then what I experienced so far

it could have been my personal issue or I waited enough to have a more stable/ less flooded network at a odd time in the morning . it took my modem like 2 hours to reset even though it was working before I had to reset it and it took ages to work again and game finally worked too.

For people having trouble, I suggest holding on to it for at least 2 weeks. Keep trying the game at least daily. Gearbox generally tends to swing in with a patch within two weeks of every game launch. Borderlands 2 and TPS both had a patch like that. Real early in. Fixed some initial issues.

Prologue mission doesn’t bug me. Intro cutscenes are great. Not sure which people are complaining about. I didn’t try to skip those. Don’t know if you can.

My only problem this morning was getting my ass handed to me 3 times. So I didn’t make as much progress as I had hoped to. Next time though, I’ll have some gear at least.

it’s been 3 days and I’m already pissed at how fail gearbox is with this… the main part of your game is broken on a console game… this isn’t a freaking f2p mobile game… it’s a 60$ console game. wtf is going on here. it forces me to have a Internet connection and a xbox live account to play every bit of the game and it let me play 1 multiplayer game randomly early as F in the morning after several hours of different times trying to play… there is no excuse at all for a company to not have their game work as advertised on launch. when I grew up that was called fraud and false advertisement… I really feel bad for pre order/deluxe people that got cheated also. worst launch I ever been involved with… even freemium mobile beta launches do better then this full priced console game they lie about being their biggest project… borderlands 1/2 had way more content. working online connections and overall way more story and obvious work put into it… gearbox are only moments away from being a one trick pony from the past who sell out and fail like squaresoft…/enix… whatever. you basically suck these days when you used to be historic…
