I don’t feel that it’s worth farming anything right now other than Pandora and the Cartels event.

Well I can’t get an Old God shield on Pandora or from the event. Is the current non event drop rate bugged or something? I been on a BL3 break for a few weeks and I haven’t really farmed anything in the DLC2 so I have no point of reference.
Yes, the non-event drop rate seems to be bugged right now.

I’m beginning to think you may be right. I have killed this boss so many times…still only 3 shields and none with an anointment.
Well…after probably 100+ kills I got 4 shields with no anointment and FINALLY one with an anointment. It isn’t the element I would have preferred but the other rolls seem pretty good so I’ll happily just be done with this for now.
Yikes. The damage is really really bad on health bars. Even with a shock weapon + shock AS. I tried changing AS element to fire but that didn’t seem to help. Using a Lob worked OK but every other weapon was pretty bad and lob is good regardless so this doesn’t seem like a viable element for this shield. Figures…lol.
After more than a week of farming off and on. Countless hours. Finally got a shield with a useable anointment. Definitely not the anoint I would have preferred but at least it’s M10 and has solid other rolls with a good element.
Has anyone tested this anoint on M10 or even the old M4? Is it effective in either reducing damage or providing any damage output? I would think 30% of M10 damage would be substantial but knowing GB formulas it probably doesn’t scale properly or something.

There’s no such thing as an M10 shield. Shields don’t scale with Mayhem levels.
I’d be interested to see how well that anoint actually works. It seems like an ASE 50% elemental dmg would work better because I’m guessing that you’d be putting out a lot more damage then what you’re taking.
I hate when GBX uses wording like “a short time” on anoints.
I gave up on farming Old Gods.

Oh yeah I forgot they aren’t scaled. I have to remember to talk in terms of GB logic before typing because it’s so unnatural to think like they do. And yeah…I would have preferred an ASE elemental damage buff but the only one of those I have got in a week of farming was on a corrosive variant shield…and I’m not using a corrosive based gun because…corrosive.

I farmed him a couple days back, about 30+ runs and got only one, and that was about the 4th run in. Nothing the rest of the time and that was M6.
It’s a tough grind bro. I had a character posted out there for 3 weeks farming hours a day. It’s stingy for sure. After all of that I only had 4 drop and only one with an anointment that wasn’t garbage. Just keep at it.

It really is I’m on day 3 probably 28 hours total and I’ve gotten about 10. I’m actually happy because they’re hard to get but I’m still hunting for my cryo one

i got one, but your complaining the 10! you have are not right?
No they’re all right but I’m missing my last one lol. The cryo one seems to drop the least for me, found one but send it to a buddy because it was Zane annoint, I play Amara/Moze.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve probably done 500+ runs in the past three days nonstop I won’t leave and picked up 10 and one anarchy that’s a keeper.
I’m not complaining I’ve tried this farm but this is the first time I said I’m not leaving til I fill my backpack it seems in the past if I did like 20-40runs then left and came back I’d be fruitless
