OP Heroes Don't Win Games. Experienced Well Coordinated Teams Do

I think some of you need to tutor me. Whenever I see a certain team comp on the other side i’m just like, “Who do I target?”

@Chigurh462

Which team comps give you trouble?

Ambra, Galilea, Ghalt, Orendi, Miko, Boldur, Isic, Benedict - pretty much any combination of the above maybe add a Miko somewhere.

The worst is when they push to the choke point and Ghalt pulls you out into a firing squad.

Usually easier said than done, but if you can seperate the healers from the main group, via harassment or other means.

Aside from that…uhh…try not to die???

Lol!

:+1::sob::sunglasses:

I’d go for Ghalt and Miko first if possible, then Gal and Benedict. ISIC is only a danger after level 5 when he has his ult up, but you can stun him out of it and Boldur needs to be flanked, but he’s pretty easy to take down if his team isn’t near him if you can lure him out into the open and have one person attack him from the front while two or three others flank him. That way, no matter which way he turns, his back is exposed to someone.

Ambra/Ernest/kleese on the same team is a controlling nightmare in incursion. Especially on Overgrowth

How many OP characters do you think there are, might I ask? 9 times out of 10, it’s just based on opinion anyway.

Ohhhh Boldurz…

No one else needs the strategy you described!

That comp can’t be dealt with solo queueing unless you have the good fortune of being matched with teammates who know how it operates and know to keep hard CCs off cool down to interrupt the incoming CC chain off of Ghalt or Galilea’s pull.

If every individual decides simply to “focus a specific puller”, then the other puller interrupts with their own pull to save the first and the chain goes off as always.

Right now I think Ambra is clearly OP. It’s not so much individual characters that I’m talking about. It’s combinations of characters. I think the game should be balanced to the point where you see more variety in the team makeups as opposed to seeing the same one the majority of the time.

Ambra is op, huh? Did you play her during beta? Or how about at launch? She was OP, they nerfed her into the ground, and now she’s fine. The only thing she needs is a shorter cut off distance for her staff.

Also, really? You want to nerf characters in a way that discourages teamplay? You sir, are a disappointment to heroes everywhere.

For some chars that’s true but some characters can hard carry a team alone. If the enemy doesn’t know how to deal with ghalt they’ll die very quickly to him.

Ernest can significantly control the flow of a match with his ability to create an incessant, continuous stream of bots attacking the sentry. He apparently does that with his egg.
[/quote]All the egg does is buff allies in range of it (you can see its range surrounding it). If the Ernest actually plopped it in the middle of the minion wave where it would affect them shoot the egg, it doesn’t have much health.

I’m not saying nerf them necessarily. Perhaps more of the lower tier characters need buffs. I’ll try to say this more clearly. I don’t think it’s coincidence that I’m seeing pretty much the same 3 or 4 comps most of the time (ESPECIALLY by seasoned players) There are currently 28 playable characters. I think the aim should be more variety in team comps and different approaches to winning besides the ones I’ve been seeing.

I think we can all agree that Deande is the opposite of OP and will always drag down any team.

No, you are insane for thinking that.

Definitely can’t agree on that one. I usually go a positive KD with Deande.
Deande is hell for newer players, too.
I giggle every time I get the hell out of combat, and wind up with a kill from my clone.

I discovered the other day that Deande is a pain to play against as Ambra.

Went 12 and 7 with Deande the other day.
Against an Ambra, Marquis, Toby, El Dragon and Ernest.
Three of those hard counter Deande’s cloak. Two of them make life annoying.
She’s excellent at securing kills, and taking out all their drops and sneaking away.
Also, solid early game. She starts getting outclassed late games to her hard counters, and so, as the team picked up steam, so did I stop securing kills and rather just died trying to harass.

Oh its not hard to go positive kd, but that doesnt change the fact that other characters are far more effective at every thing she does. The only people a good Deande can kill are noobs and people who are out numbered.
Shes fun, but in top level play, she is a feeder.
