I would start replacing what is feeling weak. No need to replace everything. A new bee can make an op0 sandhawk last a lot longer for example. Always open the chests in the peak, at level purple and etech gear pop out of those like crazy and I’ve also seen a ton of legendary guns as well.

Thanks that helps just got a op3 bee from treeants gonna go back now an have another run

Hey Rockshox00…Congrats on op3, now the fun really starts. Im having a try for op3 with my Gunzerker at the moment and having trouble with surveyors. Still trying for op5 with Siren, I tell you man these peak runs can be exhausting. Well done again for your op3.....Lets keep going were learning all the time, what a brilliant game Borderlands2 is.

Those bloody turrets have had me again on my op5 run in the Assassins arena. I am not quick enough it seems?

Cheers @Mally_T I find getting to the end is easy it’s the close quarters battle at the end that’s hard, it does become madness on a grand scale. Frustrating is not the word all the hard work getting there then one mistake and bang. But that’s borderlands and why we love it.

I jump to the right of the small square structure. Its the best cover with regards to turrents. Turrets only spawn in certain locations, near the exit (op0-op3) and near where you jump down.

If you stick near the corners of the building you minimize the number of turrents you are exposed to.

If you have any moxxi weapon, equip it when you lob an aoe grenade (tesla, corrosive cloud etc) you’ll recover health. a slag moxxi gun is handy because you can slag up any enemy while the AOE grenade is damaging the enemy, then down them that much quicker.

Cheers Chitsa…Those turrets are becoming a pain, I`ll try what you suggested.

@Mally_T what siren build are you using on the peak

Hey Rockshox this is the build I have been using on the peak. I moved a few points around as Derch suggested and it works really well, have also had good results with this in Finks slaughter house and the Ore Chasm.
I am using a Legendary Siren class mod too.

you have the answer to everything dont you? LOL

@Mally_T that’s the one I’m using but with legendary cat as the legendary siren still eludes me, feel like I’m missing something important or just generally not approaching it right. Still getting wasted at the end, I’m using homing shock quasar as suggested, stopping shock sandhawk corrosive and fire bitch, and ukh not dp though. Got lots of other choices on pistol too. Think it’s gotta be my shield I have an op3 bee but it’s no good in there. I have most of the legendary Shields too all op leveled. Getting to the end is a grind an timely then to start swapping an trying different Shields to get killed in the process is frustrating.

Make no mistake the assasins are the hardest part of the peak. I’ve seen the best players die there many times. On the gear part, corrosive is bad there, they are flesh after all, and its hard to crit one, even in the phaselock when a lot is coming after you. I would use a fire sandhawk and a fire bone in there for sure. Also homing is the worst quasar, you want to choose where it goes off, not it for you.

If you are getting hurt to much with the bee, when try a fire resistant turtle shield. The fire dots in there are scary, also don’t use your Harold on Oney. Back to the shield, if you are playing solo, you can keep on your turtle but when you phaselock an enemy go to your menu, swap to your bee and do some damage and then swap back to the turtle after phaselock goes down.

@Derch thanks for that will try new points quick question though, is there a difference in build when using legendary cat or siren, is there points better spent elsewhere on the two mods thanks,

He’s the siren whisperer.

Kinda but it depends on your build or focus. I think on both 6/5 minds eye and accelerate are enough, use those 8 saved points for survival skills (ward, inertia, sweet release, elated, lifetap, etc…).

The difference in the come to me is dps/survival. With the massive cool down and +5 ward you have a lot more survival. That’s why I like it, enough dps and more survival.

The cool down also lets you skip quicken and also use those points elsewhere while on a cat you kinda need quicken.

So with a siren you have more build flexibility to me and that lets me get Dow to lifetap and scorn, while with a cat needing ruin and quicken you can’t really do that

So in the assassin fight that cooldown is really important as well is keeping your bee up.

I’m still using the build that you gave me at the beginning of the thread, but with legendary cat, in your opinion which is the better mod to see you through the peak with the right build, as you say seconds count.

I’m sure I’ve asked this before but where is the best place to get the legendary siren mod, it’s the only mod that eludes me at every turn,

Hey Rockshox00…I think that the legendary siren mod can turn up anywhere, I got mine from a loot midget in sawtooth cauldren have also found one down in frostburn canyon where Incinerator clayton spawns for the enkindling, again from a loot midget, also I am sure tubbies can drop it along with the new ones.
How is the peak treating you? I still cannot get my op5, always fail at the assassins…sooooo frustrating!! I think I am going to have a break from it for a while coz it is doing my head in, and ridiculous as it may seem, it is only a game but it grips you!!
Anyways good luck finding that Siren mod it will turn up when you are least expecting it, and enjoy the peak with all its frustrations. When you get op4 I will start for op5 again…Cheers mate

Unsure yourself because it can’t.

Marcus’ train. I’ve had so many of the original legendary class mods pop up in there for all the characters. And it’s an easy farm for a Beehawking Siren. Thoughtlock makes the fight a cakewalk.
