They kept standing in fire didn’t they? lol
I think that it would be hard to use this kind of skills since you have very brief duration to land those, also while you can keep track of someone health bar you can’t expect most of the time whether someone is going to get CC’ed or not.
But maybe a CC duration reduction skills could be better because you would be able to apply them before any CC effect has been used for a set duration, something like:
- for Attikus, after 5 seconds of using pounce CC effects will last only half of their duration.
- for Ambra, while flame shield is active CC duration will be reduced by 50%. (might be to much of an easy escape but you get the idea)
3.for Melka, hitting an envenomed enemy with either claw lunge or melee strikes will reduce CC duration by 50%.
This will also make CC gear actually useful for a chunk of the cast.
Could we have a meele healer, i daré to say: paladín with aura of cleanance, heal others losing hp and ult would be shield other, spliting dmg.
Heal power, damage reduction and regen or extra hp would its gear

Well, even with that I’d prefer a ranged DPS, or tank, or burst, or etc. We’ve already gotten 2 and a half supports with this DLC. And there might be more!
Well, this is an interesting thing - I want to see a support character that bases around shielding and Cleansing, but also mains in Cooldown Reduction. Seriously, even if it was just a level 1 helix or something that an applied overshield reduces targets cooldowns by 15%, it would be very useful to have.

And yes the specific healer type you mentioned was so underappreciated. Unless you paid close attention to ally buffs and enemy debuff you didn’t see all the work.
In battleborn I would love to see more CC clearing or reductions Ala Reyna’s cleansing.
It would probably have to be a long lasting buff that only reducing the durations of incoming CCs. Just like someone mentioned above.
Some really cool ideas coming out of this. Love the cooldown skill. But yea… when I run Reyna, I run her with 16% cooldown (gear) and the additional 15% cooldown at level 5. I’m able to shield almost every 8-10 seconds and with theraputic booster lv 6 I saved many teammates multiple times. The feeling is great and having really good awareness helps a lot.
