Im a derp it was her Ultimate I had misread
but the theory still holds (with alot less weight)
it still penetrates other force fields

Actually battleborn is the dragonball part if this is lore, the comparison just ain’t fair

Goku would make a great Battleborn. Solus would be saved in no time!

spirit bomb wouldnt be very strong with so little life in the universe

And you just killed gokus magic there

Ha this math is fun imma run a perfect scenario between the two but it gonna take a minute

But it doesnt penetrate shields, and with what I said before nothing in game penetrates his shield except hard light attacks. So comparing the in game projectiles, I seriously doubt they’d penetrate it. Actually I take back Zarya’s laser it penetrates D.va’s shield, but not Reinhardts. The only thing comparable would be Mei’s icicle which is stopped by his shield.

But Overwatch characters are unstoppable one shot gods, which was the majority of OPs complaints. So how could the non one shot characters of Battleborn ever hope to compete.

The squishiest characters would probably be one shot just by looking at them and tanks would melt at the character selection screen.

I mean I get 5 deaths just loading up Overwatch everyone is so damn squishy and the one shots are just unavoidable.

we wanna run gear or not?

Since OW doesn’t have anything comparable I think it would be an unfair balance, but thats up to you.

Also @AttnDefDis and @40pounder you guys are starting to respond slightly inappropriately with your remarks. If you don’t have any constructive comments to add to the discussion please don’t say anything.

yeah legendaries open up to much bull

When exactly did I put words in your mouth? All I said was your opinion isn’t based in facts and that I’ve seen you be very defensive. That’s my prerogative.

Everything is a one shot kill? Nope. Healers are unnecessary? Wrong. No strategy? I don’t even…

Oh, one thing I feel the need to point out to you is that eliminations in OW are not like kills in any other game that I know of. There are no such thing as assists in OW. Everything is an elimination unless you’re healing the person who got the elimination.

Sorry, dude. Your post just comes off like you played the game for ten minutes and expected it to be the greatest game ever, it wasn’t and so you think it’s complete garbage. Once again, my prerogative.

Like I said, I play both games and think they’re both great, but for different reasons. I’ve also put a good chunk of time into both.

There are currently a few moderators with their fingers hovering over the lock button.

We’d rather punish individuals though, so; anyone looking to have an personal argument in this surprisingly stable thread please leave this thread alone to avoid any unpleasantness. Maybe spend some time reading the forum rules.

And yes, @40pounder, @AttnDefDis, I do mean you.

I’d do some research but I’m slightly distracted with matches at the moment, but I really do enjoy how we’re actually trying to research this and doing it so cooperatively. If you come up with anything else let me know.

@snomes BTW I really enjoyed thinking of comparing BB and OW characters in terms of badassitude, especially since both games have characters that can be seen as badass or ones that are relatively goofy/just not badass enough.

The same thing happened to me with Halo 5. It only took an hour or two for me to realize the game was not at all what I wanted.

When it comes to Overwatch, I played the beta and was unimpressed. It wasn’t bad, but I didn’t find it anything special. Having played the Battleborn technical test I was looking forward to the game- so long as it had a lengthy campaign.

Now that my kids have been playing Overwatch I have ended up putting a few more hours in. With about 150 matches under my belt I can say that the game is fantastic. It takes time to figure out, but isn’t at all a bad game.
Which is good for me, as I forewent buying battleborn given the lackluster reviews it received regarding its campaign. I’ll pick the game up at 30 bucks if it survives to that point.

BB is definitely worth the money. While OW is fast paced and good for wasting some times with others, BB just feels better for the time spent in my opinion.

Yeah I think it can be a cool discussion easier to figure out than trying to compare stats etc. And battleborn literally tells you your playing a badass (check main website) so it’s interesting to put he claim to the test on some of these. Even just bb characters themselves. Maybe a different thread

I feel like it’s still relevant here, but thats just my opinion. If everyone else was into it, it could work here.

I thought the technical test was a brilliant piece of work. But I like to limit my games to stuff my kids will play with me, and they haven’t shown any interest…

crap. Maybe I’ll run by gamestop and pick up a used copy… I really did like playing. And having split screen is a big deal for me.

Edit: I did. The game is pretty mediocre. I’m returning.

The baddest ass character in BB?
I’d have to go either Rath or Caldarius. To me caldarius is like Megatron. Rath is the vampire with lightsabers. Sick
