I’ve just read the patch notes and have to say it looks like a good list of fixes… lots of stuff people have been talking about, which is a good thing. I’m reserving judgment until I get to play a bit, as you know how things tend to go with these patches, but it looks promising. Also, I like the idea of seeing hotfix notes on the title menu.

The logical side of me wants to know how they can fix broken game code without knowing exactly what is broken first? And how can they know it’s fixed now if they couldn’t reproduce it themselves to start with.
Their statements definitely conflict with simple logic and common sense. If they couldn’t reproduce it and couldn’t find the broken code that caused it then how could they possibly know what to fix and be sure they had fixed it when they finished? They couldn’t. So it’s a confirmed bug that they were able to reproduce, isolate, and HOPEFULLY fix. Their notes should reflect that.

^^^Thats what “reportedly” cracks me up about their phrasing.

Edit: reported does not mean the same as reportedly.
Players reported an issue to GBX. Ergo, the issue was reported. I’m really not seeing what the problem here is? Looks like standard lingo straight out of zendesk bug tracking software.
I looked through that entire list of things that “sometimes” occurred. I’ve only ever encountered 2 of them in my own play. Sounds like a ‘sometimes’ to me…

3 Zane skills which did not work ‘all the time’, already exceeds that count even if you didn’t play Zane, it’s still not “sometimes”.

Everyone is praising them for bringing guardian ranks back after they broke them last patch. Its almost like they wanted to boost the players moral and get their minds off all the other issues that are still occurring in game and have been since launch. The patches are great but fixing something they broke last patch isn’t redeeming for the state the game is still in.

People are happy because they said :
12/05/2019:
Hotfixes generally address smaller things, while patches contain code that must go through a lengthier patch process. The next patch will be coming later this month and will contain the first DLC, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot ! It will also address reported concerns that we have seen in the last patch, including Guardian Rank and additional vending machines in Skywell-27.
Which is 12/19/2019,… we got it one week sooner than promised.

It occurred to me that a lot of the fixes were to bugs that weren’t widely discussed. I bet some weren’t even know to the community, so they may be more aware of how buggy it all is than we are, and the game is worse off than we thought. As long as they’re working on it though.

has anyone seen the new COV badasses? whats the bullet like? can you still dodge the attacks?
I really don’t get the surprise at patching ‘a week early’
Last month the patch happened the week before a holiday, and the hotfix following it was only able to address one (lol) of the many problems. Scheduling the patch today gives them a solid week to try and correct problems before they take a vacation - it’s the first good business practice I’ve seen yet honestly.

Yeah… now instead of people being able to say the DLC broke the game, they will have to say, no… it’s been broken for over a week. lol

Just got home. Installed the patch on PC version. Started my game in TVHM at M3 just to run a few quick tests.
Oh - my - god am I overpowered now.
I love learning new things, such as the Rakks in Rakk Attack score critical hits, and that triggers Hollow Point when they kill an enemy. I took on a mob of 20 enemies at M3 and never fired a shot. Just let my Rakks do the work.
PLEASE Gearbox,DO NOT NERF THIS. It’s so much fun!
Rakk Attack also explodes enemy vehicles in about a second.

they are sure to nerf it because GB is not in the business of fun, only “balance.” Driver Amara was a lot of fun too…
Amaras mindfullness movement speed got nerfed last level by .4% per level. Is that what you are talking about?
