Any known fix for corrupted save files just lost my level 18 beastmaster and was wondering if only thing i can do is start a new one or if there is any way to fix…

same issue here lost my level 16 character. fix would be appreciated.
This worked for me: Go to your main drive documents, then my games, Borderlands 3, Saved, SavedGames, and then the file with a ton of random numbers and letters. You will see a file called 1.sav and a file called 1.sav.randomletters.TMP. Rename the 1.sav to 1.sav.TMP and the other file to 1.sav. Start BL3 and voila. Hope it helps!!

which main drive document you go? I didn’t see any “my games” folder
I can’t really help on that one. My PC is a mess lol but it’s in my C drive. If you look hard enough you should find it somewhere.
I did that and lost the corrupt character cheers for that now there’s probably no way for me to get my lost one back

If you start at your home folder, it should be inside Documents:
WindowsUsername > Documents > My Games > Borderlands 3 > Saved > SaveGames > EpicID
Yeah happens to me too… corrupt save and no “X.sav.randomletters.TMP”…
i had a blue screen and when reloggin a prompt asking me to choose between cloud or local save… cluelessly choose the most recent one … and now can’t log my char.
Wasn’t too high lvl but still, don’t want to risk the same issue again on a new char.
Definitly cool off the hype i had waiting for BL3 :’(

Lost my level 22 siren kinda feel like i want a refund on this game.

Maybe it is a bug with the epic launcher cloud saves?
I’m going to try turning off Cloud Saves for now in the launcher, and then periodically backing up the existing save.
Mine wasn’t too bad, 15 siren went down to level 9, but still. Woke up early to keep grinding n been troubleshooting and this definitely kills the hype.
What I feared happened to me is:
-Game was saving to OneDrive
-OneDrive filled up when I was around level 9
-Logged off at level 15 last night
-I chose to manually download the lost data when I logged in the morning
-Cleared space in OneDrive, OneDrive sync’d the level 9 data to the rest of the data
-Only have level 9 char now even I go and grab the data on my Local C drive
Does what I’m saying above seem right or am I totally out to lunch (not the most tech savvy)? Also, does this mean game needs space on OneDrive or else it can’t save? Seems… odd and I totally missed that part.

If there is no tmp file than I don’t know. Looks like other people are having trouble with this method so maybe contact support directly and ask for help.
I just lost my lvl 43 FL4K to Epic games deciding it wanted to override my locally saved files with the ones they had on the cloud and corrupted my file
Worked for me! Just make sure you back up your files somewhere before you try anything just in case. Don’t know what they did to lose their characters but just follow exactly what that guy said. Thank you popey0!

In my epic id folder i only see profile.sav whenever i launch the game it gives me the starting options instead of showing me that i have a corrupt character
