All the following is under the understanding the game is in a tenuous state
Speaking as his MOBA loving, Thorn playing friend a lot of other Thorn players I see do not use charged attacks for the curse proc and bonus ability damage, I can’t be sure if this is because they are new to the mechanic or how to play the character or if it is because things can be exceedingly hard to land on anyone who isn’t Montana Shayne Isic etc obviously there is a big learning curve while everyone settles into a new game but in my Thorn game play I have found her a lot less a sniper more a skirmisher come assassin because charged arrows up close are much more effective tied to her abilities. Demon was mistaken regarding charge shot seeming useless but that is due to misinformation about the tie in with the abilities.
My prime example is that attacked by two melees I turned ran using enhanced jump, shot a charged arrow behind me followed volley blight and ult and executed Phoebe before she had any real chance to damage me and sent the other one running. There is no element of sniper game play for me other than when I am waiting for health regen and take pot shots with charged arrows and volleys which frankly do very little to most targets especially if their team has a support. This should be noted this is not criticism more of a gripe with her classification or idea. Overall I would say one in every 10 kills i get would be at long range ususally sniping a runner, which as stated by Demonicson Maquis fills that roll a lot better.
I fully agree with demons assessments of Thorn’s basic/bow attacks not feeling snipery because i simply yield substantially better scores, more assists, up close and personal. If this is not in keeping with her theme I would lean towards tweaking the charged auto attacks for ranged benefit and scaling down some flat damage of Blight.

I can agree that incursion favours Marquis somewhat but Demon is not lying when he says he as a professional FPSer and that when we are playing premade with friends we know how to block off and funnel the enemy and we call for him basically like artillery. That style of play makes him very strong pretty much disregarding his abilities. In paradise I can agree that he would be weaker as he can only cover one side but then again so can the enemy so this does not negate his effectiveness frankly I do not see many people catch him much because even if someone does come for him they have to bypass allied players usually and then chase him where he has roughly the same chance as most range characters to escape.
Overall the game feels smooth bar some clipping issues my primary play experience with Thorn has been enjoyable if not what I expected.
