That’s incredibly lucky. My only fear of when a pearl actually does drop is that it will be underleveled and or not the Bekah.
Probably the Bekah. I remember when the Hammerlock Hunt Dlc came out my friend and I spawned OOO and got the twister. We had no idea how rare of an occasion it was
I’ve probably gotten 5 pearls on my way to level 72. They don’t seem that rare. Idk I just might be lucky.
I got about that amount myself. First on was pure luck. Picked up a Storm from a LLM. Level 50 some odd.
Please do not ask for dupes in these forums. GBX consider it cheating.
Also, the Godfinger can’t be lower than 62 legitimately anyway.
ok thanks for heads up and do you know the percent chance of a cobra droping from burners
Supposedly it’s 0.08% but I can’t confirm that for real. It is however definitely insanely rare.
whats console are you on because if you are on xbox one I would appreciate the help
PS4. sorry.
its all good ty anyway
IIRC the droprate is .88% if the burner rolls a purple sniper.
If you’re looking for the absolute droprate, you are going to have to ask someone with a lot better knowlage of the loot system than me though.
I really don’t buy that Purple Sniper thing though. The Sniper part I understand but Purple only is even more ridiculous than that. Let me explain my reasoning:
How often do we even see Snipers being dropped and how many of them are purple? We don’t really know the drop rate in UVHM but I am just going to guess the drop rate of a randomly generated purple gear is 1:500. All the math I am using now is based on this ItB article
Let’s assume a Burner enemy has a 50% (or 1:2) chance dropping anything on average. A roll decides what exactly is being dropped now. There are 207 tickets and the first 100 result in a gun. That’s about 48% or 1:2 (rounded down for simplicity). Sniper Rifles have a 13.25% chance of being chosen. That’s slightly worse than 1:7.5 so let’s just get that for simplicity again. Now every 500th Sniper is a Purple and 0.88% of those are the Corba we seek. Let’s round that down to 1:113, again for simplicity.
So all of these events have to be met by a single Burner enemy.
227.5500113=1,695,000 or 0.0000589970501475%
I am sorry but that is ridiculous and I am being very generous with the numbers. Even if the drop rate of purples is 1:200 that’s still 1:678,000. I just can’t believe it would be that ridiculously rare. And with actual numbers it would be even rarer than that.
Wow, I actually made quite a mistake and accidentally took the Shotgun rate instead of the Sniper one before… Rewritten again. I hope it’s right now.
We don’t sell that fruit buddy. Dupes are quite weird to find
The Cobra…go hit a lottery ticket if you get one.
I’m pretty sure the information I’m remembering originally came from somebody looking at the code, but I don’t have a source for it so I can’t really tell you either way.
the information came from gearbox.
it says any purple drops a sniper. not purple, not badass.
guy uses maths to show the actual droprate of the cobra is roughly 1/21000
“any purple … not purple” ?
FWIW, in this thread in the old forums, HellFace from Gearbox says “Any sniper rifle”.
meant to say burner. my hands and internal monologue aren’t always in sync.
Hmm…alright, not sure where the purple came from then
I thought it was probably something like that, but it was a bit confusing.
Nice one. While still very low it’s at least somewhat possible and very plausible. Thank you for that.
Had I used (much) more precise numbers I could have easily come to that number myself (50% chance of dropping a gun was way too generous on my part :p).
