People already quitting when they don't get the map they want

Ok, Gearbox, you have to change this votation system, because it looks like people ain’t got no time to waste in a map they have already done and want to unlock the next hero from another map, last match I had 2 teammates quitting asap once they saw their map wasn’t voted…

What you have to do is let the player queue for the map he wants and then let the matchmaking do his job, otherwise it’s going to be ragequit fiesta…

I agree, I wanted to to through mission by mission in public co-op but because of how random it is I’ve just had to go through them in solo private. Currently on mission 5. I don’t have any friends to play it with and I prefer to go straight into public anyway, once I’ve completed all the missions myself, I’ll be happy to do any mission in public play.

True, i played for 4h last night and didnt had even one game where i didnt have at least one DC, it also doesnt help that the game doesnt recognize it and doesnt act accordingly.

OB feedback suggested that you can queue map-independantly so matchmaking would not take forever. GBX implemented and there’s already “give us map-dependant queues”… this will go on and forth if… well if we don’t have both I guess. Random maps for those that don’t care much, and map-dependant queues for the rest.

then theres people like me who just solo them because they dont want to deal with people doing that sort of thing

Welp, time to find good group of friends to run with. Shouldn’t be hard since the game is new. The server stress and newness will no doubt be a hindrance at first…but within a week I have all faith in GBX to fix this thing up the way we want it to run smoothly.

They err’d on the safe side for queue timea and lumped all modes together, however it is clearly designed to also support individual if they determine splitting out wouldn’t be too detrimental. (When you choose public story goes to selection screen where only selection is all episodes. This could clearly he expanded if GBX determines so.)

Personally, I’d like them to split the episode into 2 groups of 4 and ditch the no preference option. This at least gives you a greater chance of getting episode you want and still should keep queue times lower.

The later DLC will probably all be separate queues (since it’s paid DLC), so those may take longer to queue for.

I would like to say that I can understand leaving a game if a map you didn’t want was picked, in my experience. if I wasn’t so nice I world do it every time saboteur came up, notbecause I want to get the next hero but because I want to win. That and the portal one, you might dedicate almost an hour aND fail right in the last second

Those missions wouldn’t be such a big problem if, after failure, they allowed parties to restart from the last checkpoint (with a penalty on lives, perhaps) instead of just going “Welp! Do it again!”.

I read on another post on reddit (do not know how accurate it is though) that they are planning to change the solo mission queing after it has been released everywhere so that they are not splitting their match making systems based on location because they would not have the later solo missions unlocked yet.

FYI, there’s a framrate problem for some peoples with the Echelon/temple maps.
I had someone quit because he couldn’t play at all.
So there’s one exception to the thing “quitting when not getting the map he wants”. If he’s in the case above, well, of course he will quit. He cannot play anyway.
