Perfect Conference Call

do what I did and show your work, and missed projectiles will just help hyp and hurt bandit also.

The damage formula is the damage formula, there is nothing to debate there.

Whats your DPS formula?

Also what is your calc, I never saw one that did skills other than the one I wrote, can you share a link to it?

It was something off sourceforge I need to find it again I’ll pm it to you.

And not really, if bandit takes less shots to get on target and hyperion takes more it could potentially hurt hyperion a lot more.

That played a huge factor with the lady fist.

Wow, reading you two felt like the good old days :relieved:

Difference is now I less less control over what I say because of the meds I am on.

Which makes it even more entertaining if you ask me

That’s stock not barrel in the lady fist it’s about 3% difference depending on skills.

So what’s your dps formula? Less talk more math

When we did the original calculation before it’s buff it was a lot higher than 3%.

I sent you a steam message with the calc that I’ve been experimenting with.
This is what I’m getting from it

Hyperion

					Total DPS :
						136962.2

					Adj. DPS :
						83547.0

Bandit

					Total DPS :
						125861.8

					Adj. DPS :
						76775.7

As you see thats not a 6.88% difference.
It’s 8.1something%, and this doesn’t factor in critical, fire rate buffs, elemental bonuses, bonus projectiles, slag or reaper.
This also doesn’t factor in TTK, which DPS =/= TTK all the time.

Yes this does prove Hyperion in theory is better than bandit.

Accounting for fire rate:
bandit
Total DPS :
152737.0
Adj. DPS :
93169.6

hype
Total DPS :
171286.2
Adj. DPS :
119900.3

this just keeps going farther than 6.88%

That calc does not take into account skills, crits and unlisted only change the numbers not the % difference.

What are you using for a DPS formula or what is that calc using?

I don’t know thats what I’m trying to figure out.

The calc did change the percentage difference though.
Because 136962.2 minus the 6.88% is 127539.20064 and the bandit is coming out to 125861.8 with is slightly higher than 8.1x%, this discrepancy of 1.2% is bugging me.
And with fire rate added in it’s slightly higher than 10.8%

I don’t think any of the calcs do multi since most were made a while before people even knew what skills were multi.
I mean we didn’t even figure out most of the math until over a year after the games release after all.
But really that was just because we weren’t really looking for it before then.

Until you are willing to show math I’m done. Even with out the math you should be able to see the spa because the mag difference is only 1, the damage is minimal and the reload is significant.

So show your dps equation.

I just said this is from the calc.
I can’t show the calcs equation because it doesn’t tell you what it is.
I sent you the calc thats all I can do.

Well this is very interesting.

Just reverse calculate it did formulas aren’t complex.

That way you know the math. Never trust math you can’t see.

Well the issue now is why 3 dps calc are saying similar things and the percentages are different than 6.88.
I’m curious why the percentages have this error.

Where is sljm when I need him…
He did all my calculations before I figured it out.
Now I can’t remember if I made coffee while I have a full pot of it in my hand.

Sljm used

=(damage/(mag/ammo per shot))/(((mag/ammo per shot)/fire rate)+reload)

Last I saw of @Sljm he was neck deep into bloodborne

Also, I’m pretty sure Blut’s equation takes accuracy into account (as a 0.xx multiplier)
That’s what is screwing up the numbers

No thats the adjusted that uses acurracy rating.

Yeah we had a separate thing worked up for that
