Exactly this,
we discussed this on our last play session.
Yes the beams are annoying and the particle effects too much.

I guess this would make even for better performance on console.

You should see how much I can’t see spamming the brainstormer in there lmao. Half the screen is usually electric white

I do make sure to be very dilligent in collecting all drops on each round and selling everything I don’t need, I like to clean up like that

To be able to turn the beams off and the legendary indicator on the mini map would be awesome! The mini map gets so full, it’s hard to see where the red dots are. And I use those all the time to see where I need to go.

This is why i found shakedown events much more enjoyable, it just feels so “clean” in a sense im actually playing the content rather than spray and pray.

The enemy mechanics in slaughter shaft hardly matters to a point because you cant even see whats going on, not to mention the tinks are smaller than any maliwan enemies and just small enough to hide behind all the beams.

Often time im frantically shooting my teammates because i thought it was another badass rocket launcher dude. This gets even worse when the legendaries start to obscure the actual enemy red markers on the map.

Shaft is just so confusing in general.
Turning off the partical effects and light shafts might not be enough to make it beatable for everyone.
Its just too much of stuff blowing up all around you.

Yes please let us turn them on and off. Apart from the visual reasons given, I accidentally pick up so much trash in SS when I’m trying to reload lol.

I’d like it if they could make the old legendaries not glow, only the new ones. I did a slaughter shaft yesterday and therr were so many legendaries on the ground I couldn’t tell which were new drops.

The minimap becomes essentially useless by the later rounds because its entirely covered in orange stars.

It would be nice to fix, but it’s…pretty low on the priority list overall all things considered, so I wouldn’t mind it being just left alone.

You can turn off legendary markers in the menu

then they should avoid slaughter events, its just not that fun trying to find tiny enemies in the mountain of trash simulator.

But honestly i’ve never had this problem in BL2, the bandit slaughter is so much cleaner than this cluster.

not doing slaughter events seems a gross overreaction to a minor QoL issue that only applies to one arena anyway

and that’s mostly because enemies in BL2 don’t drop anything lol

its not that, slaughter shaft’s areana is really cluttered too.

Unless I’m missing something its only Slaughter Shaft

nothing else really compares for legendary farming

Part of this is simply a layering issue. Red dots are layered below legendary markers, and they are also layered below quest markers.

This is (from a programming standpoint) a simple fix, just change your draw order to drawing red dots last, layered on top of all the other markers.
Please.

Well, as was pointed out to me… you can just disable the legendary markers that appear on the mini map. It’s under Options > Gameplay > Minimap Legendaries

I think loot filter is a must have. 99% of drops never gets picked up by me, because im looking for proper anointment. Wish I could make all that clutter invisible.

I have minimap legendaries off. But the stars still show up

They should give us a way to pull up a text list of all gear that is currently in the map with the option of clearing it away to free up memory and visibility.

Between the beams, the cartel neon and all the mayhem 2.0 particle effects it is impossible by round 3 to see diddly.

Only if they add a Bank Filter first!
