Has there been conversation about allowing earlier surrenders for when a team is down 1 or 2 players? I have frequently been in matches where people leave during character selection or right when the match starts. I am guessing this is due to lore challenges. Potential punishments for this behavior aside, having to play 6 minutes of an incursion stomp fest sucks, especially when I only have 30 minutes to play in the first place.
Yeah it seems to match make by finding 5 players, and another group of 5 players and just calling those the teams. I have been talking to my buddy about how I wish they’d just pick ten players, then sort them.

While I agree that people in ranked will have their tryhard pants on and be much less likely to surrender, it doesnt really solve the issue for normal games. If anything it just makes matchmaking worse (adding another playlist possibility) and either taking longer to find a game, or worse quality games.
Also, is ranked still coming? I havent heard/seen anything about it
This is also very frustrating. I dont get why the game even starts if its 4v5 and someone hasnt even picked a character.
CR and skill are not the same. However, CR and experience with the game are. Some people are slow learners, some are faster. Usually though, a group of 80’s will stomp a group of 20’s.
In regards to command rank, in my experience with the game the players under level 50 or 60 are far weaker than those above. Sure it’s not a measure of skill, but it still takes time in game to get used to everything/learn all the characters.
Still having a large amount of games end due to surrenders. Had another game today where my team surrendered even though we were winning.
Played 3 games tonight, all 3 end by surrender.

I bet more come-from-behind mechanics would help out. I’ll admit I call for surrender votes if the other team is much better organized or they seem to just be farming us. I’m quite desperate to succeed at these achievements and pride is not my weakness.
The only come from behind change i would like to see is not being able to build enemy buildables. It makes it really hard to push when there is a thumper turret and healing station in a narrow area.
But then again, most teams surrender by that point
I love it when a person tries to surrender after the first sentry is blown up in incursion only to have the vote fail and the team comeback and destroy both enemy sentries.
