Yes, we should hold companies accountable for the products they release. A triple A title such as this should not have been released with all of these glaring issues, However, I would prefer for the company to fix the issues than them being steamrolled into the ground by an angry mob. If we want the game to become what we as fans know it can be, we do not accomplish that by tearing everything down. We accomplish that through constructive criticism.
Whether we are happy or not, we are all along for the ride now. If we start tearing this boat apart, we will all drown.

The difference is I am not expecting compensation, I just wish the company cared a little more about its customer base, because to me they have exactly zero concern for us.
Again, what retail business could you sell a product in the shape BL3 is in and expect anyone not to be upset? It was most certainly not ready to be released but they did anyway.
I just want the game to be playable by the people that purchased it. I am lucky I can although with a ton of lag at times, but a few friends canāt even get the game to get past the lillith cutscene at the end of Pandora because it freezes there in the same spot for both of them.
I have reported a ton of things so far without animosity in the bug reports, but if everyone simply gave a straight bug report and never talked about how upset they are with the game, the company will assume we are all fine with it, which obviously a lot of us arenāt.
The forums are a place for people to give opinions, both good and bad, about the game and hopefully for Gearbox to realize how many people they have pissed off.

We both want the same goals for the game and we both agree that it sucks for those who canāt experience the game. We both clearly love the franchise. I believe that gearbox does care about the community and would use the hot fixes and patches as support for that. I also agree that they shouldnāt have released the game the way they did but I (currently) trust that they are working to fix these problems. So lets agree that we want this game to become the best it can be and hope that it happens sooner rather than later.
If you want to continue this discussion my DMās are open. But for now, Iām going to go kick some @#$ in the borderlands
i would disagree to thatā¦bl in most ppls case is working fineā¦for the ppl that its not tho thats horrible an u have every right to be madā¦if it was a total mess across the bored it would reflect that yeah every one is haveing a few issues somewhereā¦but not everyone is unable to play like someā¦on top of that fans of the series know that this was to be expected like all the other games as wellā¦not a bl game has come out perfect yetā¦GB will keep at it till its solidā¦who knows when that will be but u get my pointā¦

For most people the game runs, but I would argue thatās it.
I would also say that most people on consoles, I wonāt speak for PC, are having all kinds of lag issues at the very least.
I understand the game will be patched and performance will be enhanced, but what seems to be happening is people are just outright giving Gearbox a pass and saying they will fix it.
Customers should have to wait for a fix like this.
Can anyone honestly say that if they had beta tested BL3 on the Xbox, they would have thought, oh, this lag is normal, we can just let it slide and fix it later.
I have purchased 2 dozen xbox games over the last 2 years. Guess how many have any kind of lag issues even REMOTELY as bad as BL3? Zero. Nada. Zip.
I donāt expect a perfect game and I understand things will slip through, but the amount of things that would have been IMPOSSIBLE for a beta tester to miss that still were allowed to be released, that is really horrible.
If you bought a brand new Toyota Corolla and it took 20 seconds to hit 60 on the freeway and took 20 more seconds to slow down to 0 at a stop sign, are you really going to sit there and tell yourself, āMeh, theyāll fix it with the next computer update.ā
No, you expect a working product and in 99% of retail business you get a working product that just needs a few tweaks. Gaming companies though get a pass becauseā¦? Instead of just saying itās ok we support you for putting out a bad product and we still love you, more people should be trying to hold them accountable and make these companies realize they will be held responsible.

I agree that a AAA game should not be this riddled with bugs at launch, however, that is the risk you take when you pre-order. It makes game devs get a big ego, and they already got what they were after: your money.
Itās why a lot of people in the gaming community repeatedly tell others NO PRE-ORDERS.

IMO, overall this was fine (PC here).
I went through whole campaign and I donāt think there was any bugs there. Itās only when I started doing slaughters and such, I seen stuff like some enemies being out of bounds and such, but other than that it was fine.

i guess i dont notice it as i live in the middle of know where an internet is s*** so lag is part of any online game for me.
i also tested something out to see if my ps4 would shut down from to much going on last nightā¦so i made my vh un killable an went to slaughter house fest whatever its called the mission from torgue⦠mayhem 3 an just ran through it the last wave was complete carnage aside from the horrible audio of missiles blowing up non stop an npcs screaming non stop do to dot effects ps4 pro didnt studder or lag one timeā¦not even a drop in fps. the game didnt crash or nothing i understand how ppl that have issues are mad specially if u cant play. but i dont have any kind of special set up or nothing like that most probs i have seen dont make the game unplayableā¦as for online play who knows i just send my friends that have the game legendaryās i dont want rather then play together cause not everyoneās play styles work togetherā¦so online play aint a factor in my caseā¦but i can only go by my expiriance anddont speak for anyone but myself so yeahā¦

Itās advertised as a working game. Too bad it kinda falls short there for thousands of people.

Its also regulated by law that you have to grant the seller a period of time in which any kind of shortcomings or lacks can be fixed. This usually applies to damages or shoddy craftsmanship. This complaint is specifically about performance which has been improved considerably since launch.
Many stores give their customers a ānot happy - full refundā option but even that is purely voluntarily. Consumer protection laws would apply if BL3 was sold as a shooter looter and we got a platformer instead.
