For what it’s worth, they did retract that not too much later and said they would consider it for next-gen because of the demand.

But this isn’t the GOTY edition.
It’s a version they claimed they weren’t going to be making, so a lot of people made the decision to play it on the 360/PS3.
Considering it released on the 360/PS3 in October 2014 and they’ve got a next-gen version ready to go in 6 months means they knew there’d be a next-gen version when they announced that there wouldn’t be.
I’d really like them to acknowledge this and do the people who bought it originally a solid and drop the price on that Season Pass.
Am I getting closer to making a breakthrough with people on what I’m actually talking about here?
we dont all have to agree with you. i get your point and it is a valid opinion but some of your tones and demands are your downfall, you came across negatively which is why you got some of the responses you did, plus this has been discussed numerous times in numerous threads! to play the devil’s advocate: i already bought it soooo what should i get because of this?
Sorry, but I don’t understand this mentality. It’s always going to be most expensive when it first comes out, always. I COULD have waited for the Handsome collection, I didn’t WANT to. So I ponied up $90 for the game and the season pass the day it came out. Cause to me, not waiting was worth the extra price.
It’s risk and reward really.

Didn’t see any discussion about this, so I made a new thread. And I’m not sure how to tone down what I said in my original post. I think I was being pretty conciliatory given that I’m not happy with what they’re doing.
@kritchie2023 Yes, it’s pretty clear you don’t understand - especially considering you couldn’t have known the Handsome Jack Collection would even exist when you bought the game day 1 since 2K/Gearbox specifically announced they weren’t making a next-gen version of TPS at that time.
But that’s cool, no worries, carry on.
I think after the 24th there should be a price cut for sure, as the Handsome Collection is essentially a discount for anyone who is rich enough to own current gen consoles
Having just tPS! And SP for last gen consoles at full price, while there is a far cheaper bundle on the current gen just doesn’t make sense to me, its all backwards

Agree with you! It should be. Everyone bashing the outsourcing of 2 at least there was insane amounts of content. Then you give it all for free for the collection and expect 360 people to pay. I’m glad i never got the season pass when it came out.Maybe i will get it when it’s 5 bucks or something. Really disappointing considering how much I loved bl 1/2 and ALL the dlc. Opinion
Want to stress so i don’t get hammered from what i said. I’m excited for the clappy dlc and pray to everything it’s MASSIVE. Then I might change my mind about the dlc and pass

How would you feel about say a 1.5 GB DLC
is that the size or are you just tossing a number? I’d say that’s nice. Around the size of dragons keep, maybe a bit longer with lots of bosses and such. over a gig or 2 for 360 sounds good if it’s packed with stuff.Still hoping for a dlc to beat zombie island/ knoxx…dragons keep was close.
It’s just a number though there’s a vid on IGN I think where they state it’s around the Tiny Tina size which is around 1.8 I believe

In my opinion the season pass is more than worth it. I mean you get two new badass characters to play as. Then a holodome which wasn’t the greatest but still pretty fun and challenging. And with the holodome you get new and awesome guns and gear. And now were getting a huge dlc. With a whole new gun rarity. And an arena you can customize. Which alone is worth alot to me if done right. Plus the two level cap upgrades. Well worth 30 bucks. But i understand that you want a sale. And it literally was just on sale a week or two ago.

Lowering the price will cause more problems than it will solve.
I did the exact same thing.
This won’t, and shouldn’t, happen. How would this be fair to all the people who paid full price for the season pass and still haven’t received all of its content yet?

Basically this is like how the original iphone cost about $700 or something. The key phrase is “early adopters”. The first price for video games is always the most expensive. But that’s the price you pay for getting it earlier. That’s it. End of story.
Any price later is because they know the demand is lower and/or they know it won’t sell for a higher price.
So… if you wait long enough I’m absolutely certain that you’ll be able to pick up the season pass for cheaper.
Also, history repeats itself. Different names, but the same thing. Wait long enough and you’ll see a discounted disc version of the pre sequel that has the season pass included AND it will be something around $20 to $40 retail at first. Years later you’ll find it for $10 in the discount bin. Example, I got Borderlands 1 Game of the Year for mac for just $10. That’s 10 times cheaper than what I paid for it on release on 360. Because I got everything as it came out.
And finally, it’s quite possible that they will discount the season pass for 360/ps3 the week of the handsome collection’s release. I doubt it. But it certainly is possible.

I agree. I bought TPS at launch, and the season pass. Yes, I paid full price for both, but I’ve been enjoying both since October last year and don’t begrudge spending a penny of that for the 5 months of entertainment I’ve already had from it.
I’ll also willingly be buying The Handsome Collection for my PS4 purely because I enjoy playing Borderlands!

I played both FC4 and Black Flag on the one,amazing graphics and gameplay,got a couple weeks out of them and will go back and poke around for sure but thats basically 120 bucks spent for a few weeks entertainment and I’m happy with it no regrets
TPS has given me 100’s of hours and is still going now thats value and seriously there is not one person in here who hasn’t dribbled away 60-90 bucks on meals,bad movies or whatever,you see my point

Exactly, how many video games have you bought, played for 5 hours and then never played again? Whether it costed $5 or $60. It happens all the time. I get tons of value from any Borderlands game because it is exactly the type of game I prefer to play.
