Good luck with that. Every time I see an enemy Ghalt player, I keep my distance. And ISIC wards only last for eight seconds and can easily be shredded. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been killed playing as him and been hooked into Ghalt’s trap. It’s not the stun that’s the issue, it’s the gangup afterwards that is. So yeah, I still disagree with your sentiment and think a slow is the better way to go.
You can counter that with another gangup, he can only handle a single target at a time.
ISIC is a Ghalts wet dream 'cause of dat critbox
That’s not what the character is built around. His character is built around being a team player whose all about map positioning. Moving with his own team, or maneuvering opponents into bad situations using traps or hooks.
Frankly, people have gotten lazy with the character because of the ease of the trap/hook combo. He’s a much better character than that and I honestly hope this nerf forces people to look into other avenues of playing the character.
Team, people, he’s a team player. He’s not meant to be a camper or a lone assassin. He’s meant to reinforce team mates.
Lol only Phoebe has a teleport and it can get cancelled by everything and everyone. It’s super annoying
Too late lol. I doubt they’re changing their mind. Sorry
I hope your not talking about his steaming pile of S#!7 ultimate.
List of pros and cons:
Pros:
Not having to reload
Minor increase to attack speed
Cons:
Super glitchy
Does more harm than good 20% of the time.
Who are you kidding make that 50%
Tactical shells doesn’t work
Can’t use skills.
It gets cancelled by any hard cc yeah.
Believe it or not, I’ve had it cancelled by as little as a stray shot, and definitely any knockback or slow (obsessed with Phoebe for the first month and a half of the game)
Knockback maybe idk, but slow doesn’t.
Ah, if they made the stun a late game helix choice it would be amazing
He’s a disruptor and controller, he’s about seperating a single battleborn from the team.
You mean the two actual beneficial skills he has?
Those which are supposed to have amazing synergy?
They still have synergy. They just no longer result in 90% kill rate when he lands it. And now that it’s no longer so easy maybe people will ~gasp~ try using them independently of each other.
I think this would be a great fix. Best of both worlds type of thing.
Yep. Make the other choice really good though to compete. Like halve the cooldown of the Hook or Scraptrap. Chaining two slows or just a stun? Your choice
On the other hand, Ghalt single handedly ruins every single Incursion match he’s in. If one team has a Ghalt and the other doesn’t, it’s essentially over before it begins. I have a better solution than nerfing Ghalt. Leave him as he is, and disable him in Incursion. No Ghalt in incursion means no need to nerf his kit. Sound good?
90% kill rate when it actually lands yes. But given avalanche of bulls#!7 you’ll have to go through to land it.
For example:
Hook connecting but doesn’t do anything
hook goes through enemy
bots and teammates bodyblocking hooked enemy
trap not proccing
trap procs but doesn’t do anything
hook pulls enemy behind you
trap going through the floor
trap flying to the moon
or trap randomly dissapearing.
Yes, I really like that idea. Make players choose between setting 2 traps with a medium slow or setting 1 trap with a 1 (or 1.5?) second stun during the late game. Maybe they could replace Pellet Party since it isn’t as good as the other helix.
Maybe some Ghalt users are hacking, but lately hooks have been pulling me and my teammates through walls, bots, minions, other BB, you name it. The hook grabs you, and you slide collision-less through any and all obstacles.
His good-for-nothing ultimate compensates for the stun.
Geez it’s like the rath debate all over again.
“Rath’s ult is op i say”
“Just quick melee him it renders his ult obsolete they say”
“Rath’s got movement speed boost while in ult i say”
“Spin to win they say”
It’s at least as risky to run as Isic’s or Toby’s ult. That’s why it comes with a cancel feature.
Not even going to try and say it doesn’t need work. I’m just saying it’s comparable.
