I personally am generally okay with the visuals how they are, however trying to convince my friends to play and one of the most common things people in general apparently don’t like are the visuals. Things which I think should all be in the player’s ability to tone down as options:

  • Weapon models are too large, even at max FOV. Compared to certain other hero shooters Battleborn is a lot more hectic and this is really detrimental to the faster feel of the game.

  • Colour visuals are too bright. The ability for players to manually set the contrast (without editing any ini’s or configs) would be great. You can’t have environments, characters and skills all being this bright. Things that need toning down: Environments, bots, purple overshield effect (it’s already clearly shown on their shield bar and is an eyesore on large amoutns of minions).

  • Linked to the previous point but the flashing effects of skills combined with the bright colours is really not good for competitive and regular players alike. The flashes and glows really need to be toned down, a single bloom setting isn’t enough.

Like I said these should all be options that people can adjust themselves if Gearbox doesn’t. People seem to prefer the cleaner visuals of Overwatch, and I think in general the ability for players to tweak things to their liking makes the gameplay much better.

+1 Even when you shoot minions they bounce around for no reason. It may look cute to some people but why. Why?!

I have a problem when like 3 or 4 ground effects go off. Oscar mike and Galilea and some other putting down field effects and i have no clue what i am standing in, is it is an allies or an enemies! This leads to death…
