exactly. running in a premade while matchmaking does not support premade v premade is a HUGE advantage as it is. then playing gal in a premade? with 1/2 supps? just screams of a lack of skill. and then you have the guys claiming it is for lore purposes. because im sure they have all the lore completed for every character but that gali. she must be the only one they have left…
In a game where every character should bring something to the table, it sounds like people want Galilea to show up empty handed and feed them kills.
Am I right, or what?
Pretty much.
Because as we all know, “Nerfs” can only make characters useless and are totally final, no way to undo or further alter a character, nope not at all, it’ll seal her fate forever as a 100% entirely useless character. MUCH better to leave Galilea as she is, a character who brings THE ENTIRE TABLE and everybody else puts something upon it. As we all know, middlegrounds were abolished in the exaggeration wars of 97 so everything is a black and white absolute in this world.
Did i make my point or should i go on? I think you get it. I hope you get it. Please for the love of solus tell me you get it.
A valid point, not that I’ve ever seen that happen, but still, valid point.
I’m seeing Miko + Kelvin. You have no idea how much I wished I was on my Gal to stop that healing. Heal prevention still works, right?
She’s not a problem. As a master of orendi I win most encounters against her. Also miko makes most classes op. Now someone needs a look it’s attikus. His over sized hit box with his multiple stunning attacks leaves little to be desired, couple that with his near useless in pve and his ability to close large gaps make him an unsavory character
I really dont see the problem with Gali anymore. She is so easy to deal with. I hardly see Gali doing amazing even with Miko combo, which is easy to counter if players just actually think a little bit. I’ve actually found Montana Miko to be harder as of lately than Gali as He’s so big trying to get around him is difficult to take miko out. I just dont see how people still lose to her now.
They nerfed Ambra pretty quick as she wasnt anywhere near the kind of character she was supposed to be. Gali is supposed to dish out pain so they have to be careful how they nerf her .
If I was Gali and you were Orendi I would just pull/silence you so you couldn’t use your blind and by the time you were about to get out of the silence field, stunned, dead. Orendi is a character that Gali can def 100-0 in that situation. Like many people have said on this thread, it’s not about your personal experience. Many of us stomp Gali’s regularly.
It’s just about taking an objective look at her kit.
This is implying that an Orendi will let Gali that close. Smart Orendi’s NEVER let melee’s in range to receive damage and seeing as Gali has no Assassination abilitys its easy to escape out of range.Gali would have to burn an attempt at stun to lock down an Orendi and if it doesn’t connect Gali is at huge disadvantage. If someone comes to Assist then its over for Gali as she has no escape abilitys pre level 5. It is very doable
Thus, “the never get close to her”. Even relatively close with that pull. You could see how this would be a problem for melee characters. Like I said, It’s not about personal experience; just taking an objective look at her kit.
This thread really wasn’t to debate whether Gali was OP or not (although it has turned into that). It was more about the player psychology behind players picking a character that has been acknowledged by the developers as “god tier” with “many more tweaks to come”.
I dont get why so many people complain about Gali when Ghalt can do the exact same thing. He just pulls you into a trap and your dead before you can escape.
I think it’s because Ghalt takes a lot more skill to use. You have to hook them into a trap. Takes supreme awareness. With the Pull/Silence then stun from point blank its incredibly easy.
Harder to use? Really? He is just as easy to use if not easier imo. The chain can grab you even if it goes nowhere near you and lets not forget the helix that allows him to throw 3 out at a time.
This is a good topic. You should start a thread on this. I use to think Ghalt needed some tuning, but after mastering him I found he’s a one trick pony. He’s super slow, big hit box, def doesn’t have tank health. Plus, if your target hits a blade of grass he’ll get stuck and not get pulled. Ghalt discussion thread would be cool though.
See that’s the thing, personally or not galileo is fine. Certain combos make her seem stronger then she is is all
Gali’s shield can block both fire pillars easily, orendi relies entirely on burst damage from cooldowns, gali is lethal with no skills.
Orendi doesn’t want Melee in general to be close to her as they all just rip her apart. Since the nerf I haven’t had an issue with Gali, even with squishy Rath and Deande. Once she Silences I just quick melee and dash out, or just dash out as her first two strikes are slow as hell. If she tries to stun afterwards she still couldn’t kill and if both her options are gone it’s just a matter if I used mine and should I go for the KO without means of tackling the char with anyone else. I played Rath, Phoeboe, Boldur, Kelvin, and even Melka all against Gali players and each one of them was the same or better than what it is with other tanks, and possible melees. Like I really see no problem with her from all players that I’ve seen use her.
But eh if they nerf her it’s fine with me as I don’t use the char, but players who actively like Gali will get the short end of the stick and that feeling I do know and it sucks.
At this point if you can’t counter her then you need to get gud. Upon engaging zig zag and bunny hop until she misses her shield toss, then simply focus here. Her health and shield pool isn’t very large, and if you make her pursue you out of her desecration field then she’s lost all her major advantage.
