Killing stuff ?
I’m just talking about raw efficiency here. I know some do it for the “challenge” and the sniper gameplay, but we were just discussing numbers here. The point was that the Plunkett allows for stupid damage, as long as you don’t miss. Showdown makes it less likely for you to miss.
Huh ?
How about Crack shot and mag6 on every shot ?
And a COM dedicated to Jakobs guns that boosts both ?
I already have a build using the same COM, and the point is also to stack all 3 of these bonus, so you can trust me when I say it makes a BIG difference
Enough to say that the plunket is one of the best (if not the best) sniper to use in showdown
Again, I know that shot for shot, Clappy wins in the damage department. But Nisha has something interesting to offer to the Plunkett user too. mainly ease of use and weaknesses mitigation, while still offering VERY high damage (about what ? 1/3 of the bonus Clappy can offer ? … still enough to one-shot any mob, and the upsides become very clear to anyone who missed at least once) Sure Clappy can get over a million… but 95% of the time, it’s overkill anyway.
@Chuck80 As any Sal veteran knows, there is no kill like overkill. Ha.
You make some great points about Nisha’s efficiency but Jakobs is more for the sniping purist so I understand where @Exotek is coming from because you’re using it for the experience. Massive long range damage with no margin for error.
Yeah of course, from that standpoint, Clappy offers a much closer sniping experience than Nisha. One hit kill, big penalty for missing, steady and decisive aim required. For sniping fun, I totally get it.
From a pure efficiency POV though, Nisha is easily his equal.
And on the other point, that there are many other snipers that are better on Nisha, I have tried a LOT of SR with her, and have always been disapointed…

On that point of good snipers for Nisha, the Plunkett wcomes first. Then, a long time there comes nothing and after that, there comes the Skullmasher. But nothing beats the Plunkett, even without mag6.
Eh, its fire rate is to slow to be the end all for snipers.
In situations where you consistently one shot enemies, snipers with faster fire rates would win out.
