was sitting at a pokestop in my car, 2 dudes pulled up and started attacking my flareon. So I immediately started battling it, and raising the prestige. they finally noticed and saw me. They thought I was a random blue though, Didn’t realize it was my gym 
It was great, one was also blue, one yellow. we back and forthed it for a good half hour.
Wifi prison mode sucks, as I don’t have a data plan. The Squirtle shadow taunts me! I also appear to have a Weedle infestation…
Snagged this badass at lunch, he’s been defending my gym for the past 4 hours.
It’s a park that closes at dusk so he should be there until at least tomorrow
I took the gym on my way home from work, there were a couple more Mystic working the spot at the same time because we went to level 3 almost instantly.
I’m working up a huge pile of pidgey and ratatta candies, gonna them farm up for a few days then drop a lucky egg and go on an evolution spree for a massive XP dump.
And kismet struck today; I’m going back down to Galveston for work tomorrow so I’m gonna take lunch on the seawall, drop an incense and lure at a spot that has 3 stops that can be farmed simultaneously then see if I can’t pull something nice.
My god this is silly, but zero flips are given.
May I suggest digistructing a trail of repeaters to your nearest stop/gym cluster?
No joke though, if you went down to a spot people congregate you may be able to find someone with a mobile hotspot they’d be willing to share. Something about the game brings out comradarie in folks

I’m sure many restaurants and other businesses will start advertising for GO if this trend continues. It’s crazy haha. I went to a park last night that had 3 gyms and about 8 PokeStops. I walked over the hill and I saw damn-near 75 people all camped in the grass around 3 of them. Phone lights everywhere.

I wish you could zoom out of the map so I can see were that gym and mere 2 pokestops are, out in the boonies of town lol. Been trying to load it in eastend off walmart wifi to see if my workplace is effected at all, but it has trouble running. The mall I work at does not have free wifi

Whats the most efficient way to power up pokémon? I see all these people with really high cp and I’m lvl 15 and my highest is a 911 Flareon.
I have nooooooothing in my end of town. Then I visit mom and all of this is by her house, I CALL SHENANIGANS! There is 2 other gyms nearby that are not shown. The blue owned one is right by a friends icecream shop! And all those stops on my favorite walking trail (sigh… I may get data just to play this game…)! And the town is quite active too. One local said they are all down in the park, and yup, it was fireworks down there. And the one church gym was changing hands quite bit.
Plus I haven’t seen Mom beam in happiness in a while showing her the game lmao. I am doing laps around her house catching pokemon and her mind gets blown! She is quite familiar with the mons because we were pokemon nutcases as kids. Shes all lets go for a walk and find more pokemon, but I couldn’t explain to her why as she doesn’t understand technology. I could only stay by the house because I don’t have data. I couldn’t even get that nearby pokestop to load off the banks free wifi. Seeing Mom that excited is quite rare, as shes bipolar and is usually quite grumpy.
So I said, I will see what I can afford for data, then we can go do pokemon stuff. We can even stick Big Guy on a wagon or the back of the truck. Who is Big Guy? A to-scale Nidorino I made as a kid in a prop building course. She uses it for her little stuffed animal show, as its too big for my apartment. She named it Big Guy lol.
Its a bit damaged and weathered, as its quite old. We may take it to the park if I can afford some data. If it makes Mom happy, should be worth it. And it will get her out of the house too.
