How can they tell if your a “democrate” or a “rebublicon”?

They check to see if your ribcrate has a heart that bleeds exaggerated empathy or a frigid file of falsehoods. Both have 2 faces and bifurcated tongues, so the internal check is required for sure.

Democrates?

Didn’t he die from hemlock?

Actually, it’s more because the two big ones, demon rats and republicunts or whatever they’re called nowadays, have introduced enough rules to make it hard for other parties to even get on the ballot.

Short answer: yes.

Demo Crate

BUT WHAT WILL I DO WITHOUT MY HATS!!!??? :scream:

Ordinarily I’d agree with you. But, as stated before, I have a long-standing hatred of Loompa that predates his presidency. This time I voted democrat because I absolutely positively want him out.

The system, of course, can piss on my presidential vote at any time with the Electoral College, but I vote anyway.

The elections that really matter, which people ignore, are for congress, state positions, and local government, where officials are elected by popular vote. The party system needs to be changed from the bottom up, and people need to realize that the people they elect to positions other than OMG THE PRESIDENT OMG IT MAKES ME TINGLE!!! are important.

Well, this happened:

So. Not all politicians completely lost. (Worth reading in full.)

This is the dumbest thing ever.
So, of course I love it.

The two parties do indeed make it difficult. The blame, however, is solely ours to shoulder.

SHOULDER IT, CRETINS!

When in gods name have you ever known me to not take personal blame or already know that I’m a cretin?

Seems like perfectly reasonable sign to me. Imagine how annoying it would be to get your fresh Tomatoes halfway home then the crate all of a sudden gets enveloped in an unbreakable outer shell, with the words thankyou for trying this crate demo please upgrade to the full version to continue. Now your forced to upgrade because your goddamned juicy tomatoes are trapped behind the crate paywall.

The weirdness continues:

He’s still pushing lawsuits and ‘alternate electoral slates’. As far as I can tell, protests so far have led to limited injuries (the article cites 3 shootings and a stabbing; it doesn’t mention deaths, so I assume none of those were fatal).

Crazy.

This is gonna be the new norm. You could, I suppose, make the claim that this began with Gore in 2000. Although IIRC while he didn’t ‘concede’ the election, he did say that W had been “selected” as president. (Then I remember a shitload of Democrats thanking the gods W was prez and not Al on September 12, 2001. :man_shrugging:t3:)

From Hillary people urging the electors to vote Hils in 2016 to Orangeman Bad this year, 2024 will be demonstrably worse.

I wonder if the GOP will #resist the Biden Administration? Seems likely they will. Joe oughta be thanking those same gods the House isn’t Republican-controlled or they’d impeach him for sure. Ah yes, we get to witness the fruits of political warfare. ONLY. GONNA. GET. WORSE.

I fully expect China to be this year’s Russia. Watch. WATCH, CRETINS!

I’m like one of the rare ones that isnt afraid of China. They have a horrid humans rights streak, but they have good things too. Just the news is wired to feed us eveyrthing NEGITIVE about them. Good ol tribalism.

All countries have good sides and bad sides. Canada does look like the OMG THEY SO NICE, but look up residential schools… Yup, even Canada can be an ass.

When first nations news issues come up, I’m like, yeah I’m switching to APTN to hear their side of the story…

Actually, didn’t America go like…

RUSSIA BAD

Then 9-11

MUSLIMS BAD

Now China starts to develop

CHINA BAD

Meh, I’m very hard-pressed to find much good with Red China. In fact, I’m willing to go on record as saying “■■■■ China.”

I’m inclined to agree with you. Their unilateral actions in several directions, along with their treatment of (1) Tibet and associated international recriminations over the Dalia Lama (2) the Uighars (3) that other group in remote China (forget the name) and (4) Hong Kong leave me less than thrilled. And don’t get me started on business practices…

I regret to say the States might just be on its way to a three party system : D, R and the inevitable party of Trump what with all the R’s abandoning T, including Barr’s resignation yesterday.

2024! Make America Insane Again!

Yar, Chinas horrid deads does leave a bad taste in my mouth, yet I do believe there is some good, even if their government is a ■■■■■■■■, I wouldn’t judge the people because of a bad government. Hard to explain as it can be difficult to word my feels. Guess don’t judge a general population by its ■■■■■■ government is kinda what I’m leaning at?

Just as I don’t judge the Limey scum for their treatment of the Irish, I don’t judge the Red Chinese for- nah, never mind. I shall judge the shiz outta them.

NUKE THEM NOW - WHILE WE STILL CAN. (Can we? Might already be too late.)

Well, the Limeys are pretty preoccupied with self-immolation right now, so that would be a waste of nukes. Boris the Bodger’s continual dithering and weak grasp on reality have pretty much doomed the UK at this point, deal or no deal. As usual, the brunt of the disaster is going to be born by the proles (including the ones who were misled into voting for the Tory Madmen by unrealistic promises and blind nationalism - sound familiar?).

Meanwhile, I have heard rumours of porcine aviators in Washington DC - Mitch McConnell has finally acknowledged the inevitable?
