If your anointment is garbage otherwise it has the same dps as a x1 Kaoson.

I think Ion Cannon is still OK, but of course yellowcake is better. Lucky 7 can be viable, but only if you’re patient with it.
But nothing really compares to the top 3 or 4 of the top weapons (yellowcake, OPQ, pewpew… )
It’s ridiculous how even some of the new weapons like needle gun or ice burger were more or less useless straight out of the box.

One of the requirements is no anointment.

Then we would also have to dismiss the majority of the guns mentioned thus far. Even the Yellowcake would be questionable under the conditions of the OP.

I agree.
Edit----killing an anointed with a straight weapon, I’m assuming no artifact, no class mod…not much on the table.
Most of those can can kill annointed in decent time. I’m not saying they all are as OP as the next, but all have decent enough damage to be worthwhile M10 loots.
Annointement is just cherry on top of a correctly designed weapon in theory
Of course class mod, artifact, talent, guardian perk …
As I said, we all agree that some weapon perform better with some build, I just asked for them not to be too much build specific. “This weapon is absolute garbage but if combined with bonus, both augment exponantially and you OS everything” is the thing I want to avoid cause a weapon is not “viable” if it can only be used in a very specific way.
It’s just a poll of weapon that are, by all mean, correctly balanced for M10 without needed one completely unbalanced annointement to band aid its bad design

uuuh, take a random non elemental kaoson on mayhem 10 and you can kill traunt in under a minute
i would call that viable
a boomsickle in the same conditions will probably take you 10 minutes

Like I was saying the Boom Sickle has about the same DPS as a Kaoson. If one counts then so should the other and vice versa.
With those parameters, I can use any large mag decent fire rate weapon with a MindSweeper. Pick a Maliwan, Dahl or Hyperion SMG, Dahl or Vladof AR, Insider, the list goes on.
MindSweeper damage scale of the damage you use, meaning, in the end, that it only work as some sort of % damage increase.
It work better or worse depending on the gimmick of your gun, it won’t make a crap gun kill annointed
Mindsweeper creates grenades off ANY crit and stacks with each grenade birth. A MindSweeper grenade can spawn another off of itself…that grenades damage is based on the one before it and it’s not additive, it’s crazy multiplicative, start birthing grenad
I can walk through content with a crappy anointed Cheap Tips.
Edit---- I’ve been using Mindsweeper exclusively since last October, I am very familiar with it.
Still scale of your gun though.
I’m not saying it’s bad or anything, but you’ll sill have a vastly different efficiency if you fire a Kaoson or a cheap tip by example.

Take a read… Mindsweeper is stupid powerful.
Yeah, I looked at it already, it’s stupid powerfull thank to the fact it both scale from a lot of things (and a lots of perks in Moze tree) and the fact it can proc itself.
A bit like crazy stupid annointement, you can’t say a weapon is “balanced” if it only work with something that is totally not.
Okay, so are we removing class mods from the equation then? Because the rules are changing now.
Not really, but if only one class mod can make your weapon work (Here the mind sweeper), then the weapon is not viable, the mind sweeper is just hella strong.
If different character with different build can do the same, then the weapon is viable.
It’s a matter of looking at it as “what weapon are correctly designed to M10” not “How can I break the game the best”

Tweaked your title to better reflect your topic, and to avoid potential confusion for those who don’t play on the higher difficulty levels.
Here’s a few more issues with Class Mods… Seein’ Dead, Driver, Phazezerker. Not to mention the perks rolls on them and the artifact you’re using with its rolls. There’s too many variables here that will lead to ‘it works for me’ ‘well, it doesn’t work for me’. The only way to really find out what can kill in M10 is to remove Guardian Rank, Mods, Artifacts, and even skill points. Then you will truly know what even has a chance to perform. Otherwise, there will be more weapons than you realize that are viable.
Edit---- also it would have to be w/o any anointment.
