Poor "M-Pulse" Controller - Underappreciated?

I’ve been using M-Pulse for months, in all modes. It’s sort of a guilty pleasure, doing damage to all things without line of sight.

@Rabid_Explosions made a good list, but I think the best character to use with M-Pulse is Beatrix. Combine Prescription Affliction + Double Dose + additional crit damage Gear, and she can drop a minion wave as fast as Orendi. If you aim for the Shepherd in a Versus minion wave, when it drops, it will typically cause a chain reaction that knocks out the rest of the wave – 67 to the weakest minion, next shot kills it, 67 to the next, pop, pop, pop, done.

The other great use of M-Pulse is in Versus when lag is very, very bad. Shots may hit phantoms, player v. player damage may end up on the island of misfit packets, but that 67 damage will reliably land whenever you destroy a buildable or minion, because their state is managed serverside.

Poor m pulse imo is the best pve legendary gear piece.

Tried it on orendi just now, in a 3v5 with me being on the 3 it was incredibly powerful

Oky i swear u only got the explosion when the enemy got killed by a crit. I guess it got buffed or my memory is bad.

Now i have a question.

How big is the aoe?
Do i need to get the kill or just tag some dmg?
Does this buff gets boosted by voxis core?
Does it get boosted by skill dmg? Bolas?

It got buffed and the aoe is fairly big, someone above said like boomsday. Messed with it using orendi, ernest and both are vicious with the aoe

Doesn’t get boosted by skill damage but you only need to tag them for an explosion it seems, and the explosion leads to others exploding

That explains a lot…echelon stairs next to second sentey, our wave were in the stairs of the first sentry (after the hallway) they got destroyed by an attikus using bolas, voxis and this gear.

I got taged by his dot for no reason and untill today i didnt know how or why, ■■■■ this is broken.

If taging the victim is enough this now is broken, like voxis core day 1.

Where does the second *5 come from? That would mean there are 25 enemy bodies

A team of 5 tag the wave of 5 Minions. If taging is correct each minion would explode 5 times…

I cant test it… But i rly want to. 67*5 is 335 extra dmg just from a wave… Now mix it with voxis core to max cheesenes

This gear is so good with just its effect alone, i use it on my beatrix loadout, combined with her dot, plague rat and her ult, it’s sooooooo much damage on waves and even more on chokes, this gear also procs on itself, meaning if a minion dies and its 67 explosion dmg kills another minion you’ll get another 67 explosion, resulting in a lot of dmg, plus buildables build by you also proc its effect, and it has a very big radius like for example, if the Sentry dies by you while having this gear, its radius blankets the area from the thumper turret, to the stinger by the sniper perch and to the entrance where the other stinger is on Overgrowth.

wait tag? im pretty sure its an explosion when you get the kill or if any other dmg source made or from you gets the kill, you don’t need to do tagging

Tag as in deal damage to the thing that dies

Ohhhhh ok then it doesn’t work that way even if multiple people are using it as it only procs once per kill but can cause a chain reaction, an explosion that causes 5x67 on one kill seems busted
