Possible Cheating in Incursion

Was playing an Incursion match and somehow the sentries were getting area of effect damage despite there being no enemy players around. My connection was apparently in the red however I was having no issues landing shots on targets as Marquis or experiencing any lag at all. At one point I actually went over to the sentry and saw Marquis’s Hoodini Owl attacking it as well but the Marquis on the other team apparently had a solid green connection for the whole match. More than half of the sentries’s health was chipped down this way which caused a match which was pretty much a stalemate to suddenly tip to one side and it didn’t seem like anyone could do anything about it. Perhaps I have missed something while guarding it but I really could not see how damage was being dealt to the sentries.

There is a perch that an enemy marquis can sit in and hit the sentry from across the map from complete safety. I dont know where it is or why someone would want to do it but it seems to be a pretty common thing happening.

I’ve never had that problem. Any Marquis I go against us always playing with the team to push to the sentry, never perching and sniping from across the map. I guess I’m lucky? Is it really common?

It is honestly what your marquis should be doing.

The Marquis snipe on Overgrowth is unfortunately super common. Most MOBAs require that enemies must be within the vicinity of the titan/sentry/big bad objective boss before it takes any damage at all. Not to mention that previous objectives must be destroyed before objectives behind them actually take damage under any circumstance.

Battleborn’s Incursion doesn’t follow these rules. Marquis can chip down the shield at the very beginning and Oscar Mike can stealth to the main sentry even before the first sentry is damaged and start laying down ults and napalm to damage it.

These are things we just have to hope get addressed in a future patch.
