Possible Solutions for Battleborn issues. Devs Cordially Invited

I think, we need an Issue List

a list of known issues, very general in nature
and that needs to be another thread. maintained by devs and mods.
no replies, just one post, updated with update date stamps.
(cuz most replies would be toxic, and/or out of date)

sticky this … List
and if we see a topic we want worked on make it to THE LIST, then we know we have been heard.
this solves two issues, one - redundant threads echoing, and two - let’s us know it had been noticed.

Right now, you’re going to have to scroll down a lot. Bitvenom is discussing the HRM patch, and he’s very forthcoming.

I’m worried that this game will be League of Legends part 2 for me where I’ll put so many hours trying to get better at the game to enjoy it more, yet the balancing of everything in the game will just frustrate me. I really don’t want that to happen, I really love the game and the characters, but I fear so many hours will be more of frustration then fun. You could argue that it “may not be the game for me” but I continue to play it because I like what’s in it.

Title edited.

where is this at? in which thread? very interested in this

In the menu bar at the top, the ‘dev tracker’ option. On mobile you might have to navigate to the home page (click the gearbox symbol in the top left) and the dev tracker filter is listed under categories.

Plenty of discussion of the Homeworld 2.0 patch is in the main Homeworld section…

Here ya go!

True. You should make a post on the Battleborn Discussion just to let people know about this trick!

Dev tracking is nice, but i’d like if the devs just all came here to talk~

Jythri (Randy Varnell, creative director) posts here frequently, although even he has to be somewhat guarded about details. scottv (Scott Velasquez, lead programmer) pops in, too. Most of the devs are busy devving. (That’s a word now). All of them are somewhat constrained by marketing directives: giving projected dates, suggesting developments that don’t work out, that kind of thing, can create problems. I do think they’d like to be able to tell us more, if they could.

We shouldn’t be hunting down Dev posts, they should be searching for our posts. I agree that there are many things to be fixed and I can give hundreds of suggestions but what I need most is clarity from the Devs. Give us numbers and stats, don’t even need dates or what exactly is being done just that something IS being done. It feels like we’re being neglected as players or considered "too dumb to know."
The patch notes of League are amazing, you know the projectile size, speed, strength, etc. I know League has been around for a long time and don’t expect things to just happen from one day to the next, but I also never considered I would just be left entirely in the dark on how the game works.

But they have told us that stuff is being worked on. If they just kept saying that in every thread, people would soon dismiss it. And I think Gearbox exercise their right to not give out the kind of detail you’re hoping for.

I’m sure they’ll be reading this thread, though.

Not giving out details leads to misinformation and wild speculation.
I prefer over detail than zero details.

I agree with the comparison to league of legends notes.
I LOVE how detailed those notes are.
I’d love to know the range of certain skills, i’d love to know the base atk values, jump height, base movement speed.
not saying we need these things, but i’d love these things.
there is no reason to deny us this information… why purposely keep us in the dark
but there are more important issues than knowing values at the moment. So put this on the back burner.

also, just saying you are working on something, and being overly vague and deathly silent on updates… kinda offputting.
at least give a general topic. as in, we are working on pvp, we are working on character balance, look forward to this and that.

I was telling a Dev earlier, that the character tease with the silhouettes was genius.
It showed something solid existed, but didnt give too much away.
BUT it allowed us to speculate on what was coming, because we had a GENERAL IDEA.
It created interest and caused conversation. It sparked threads and etc.
People pretty much played “who is that pokemon” with that picture.

tl;dr
Rather have shadows and silhouettes than silence.
Rather have guesses and reassurances that things have been noticed
and are being worked on, than the cold shoulder.

If things change or don’t pan out, FINE. That’s the definition of guessing and estimating.
But if your whole community is kept in the dark, you will lose them to the darkness.

why is it greedy. ingame rewards don t cost gbx anything. the tiny rewards you get for playing are greedy.

So I just want to say, I just saw this.

THIS.
WE NEED MORE OF THIS.
INFORMATION. EXPLANATION. EDUCATION.

Very nice post.
Exactly in the vein of what I’d like to see in the area of information sharing.
Though, it is missing one tiny thing.

The actual Values needed for Gold Medals on every setting…
If we could get those values, that would be nice.
Though i know they could change soon.

I am having issues getting Gold on Renegade, consistently.

What does cost have to do with greed? However i would be greedy as well and say getting half the exp back as character exp would be nice

I’m just going to drop this here. Don’t mind me.

but this thread isnt about Dev responses or feedback
this is about what could be done to make this game more enjoyable.

i laid out some issues that people think need to be addressed.
and i went ahead and threw out some possible solutions.
this is NOT about Devs responding.
This is about the future of this game.
This is about the PLAYERS responding.
