Each GameStop store, like many other chains, is as good (or bad) as the individual employees that work there. I used to be a store manager and most everyone who says they hate the company would have loved my store, I assure you.
Very true. I in fact have TWO epic gamestores I go to. The one farther away is at the mall, but the manager is FINE.
I donāt pre-order unless I can try a good beta or I know for certain that I will love the game like X-Com 2. The beta sold me on this game. I didnāt even really check what the pre-order bonuses are for it.
For some games the pre-order bonuses matter more than for other games.

I was debating whether to preorder, but the beta sold me, so here I am, waiting on the DD version 
I generally only preorder stuff I would have bought anyway (like the two Borderlands sequels) or if I was turned around by a demo or beta (Battlefield 3 betrayed me, however). Battleborn is, thankfully, both.

Starting this thread has doomed me in its own way, itās like now i want a hat, an action figure, a special ps4 beta unlock, maybe some skinsā¦of course i should get the expansions with the season pass. I suddenly feel like Fry from futurama, Just shut up and take my money

Preordered my copy for PS4 from eb games Australia months ago (when it was meant to be released in February - wanted it for my birthday, sigh).
Happy to get the golden skins, and a figure with my preorderā¦ It says while stocks last, so will have to make sure I can get in to collect my copy and secure my figure, before everyone else does.
The figure however, is pretty smallā¦ The box is very oversized compared to whatās actually inside. See this guys YouTube video:
The JB HIFI hat is cool, but I donāt sport hats (plus, can see this option being more popular with males than females)ā¦ It didnāt sell meā¦ So I went with eb games (GameStop overseas).
I also generally preorder games Iām interested in regardless, because I like to support the companies that make them (generally particular franchises), and other peopleās reviews of games I tend to avoid or not let sway my own opinion before playā¦
Generally I enjoy a game more if i go at it on my own judgement (avoid reviews, and other peoples nit picking)ā¦
Battleborn is the first beta Iāve ever played, otherwise I just go full in (blind) when a game is released and hope I made the right decision (havenāt been disappointed yetā¦)ā¦
Also I have an eb games membership card (eb world member) so I get bonuses such as discounts, events, etc, the more I make purchases/the higher my membership level, through them.

Itās a tough decision with all the different options these days, which preorder to go withā¦
i wonder if anyone will go for/sport the hat/capā¦ Iād be interested to see what the final design is (as the current picture says it may change)ā¦
If I see anyone wearing one, at least Iāll have an idea who in my local area might be playing itā¦ And I for one, donāt mind representing my geek/gamer culture through my outfits!
Btw, if anyone wants the digital and is willing to pay for the figures, the 2K web store has sets for thirty bucks.

Firstly, the amount of Aussie representation in this thread is awesome.
Secondly, if someone winds up with a burning desire to rid themselves of one of those Montana figurines, I would be willing to help lift that burden out of the goodness of my kind and giving heart.

I had my concerns with what I played in the beta and kind of talked myself out of buying it at all. The day after the beta ended I realised how much I missed playing this game and I still canāt even explain why I enjoyed it so much. So yeah, Iāve gone and pre ordered the digital deluxe version from the PS store. Iām going to rely on the game being successful enough that hats/figurines and all sorts of merchandise will be everywhere soon enough
